    Hi @shanekingsley ,
Here's my internet diagnosis of your bike's condition, take it for what its worth without actually seeing your bike......

The clutch push rod has its own adjustment and is completely independent of the cable adjustment. This is a common error on these engines, as people think a slack cable = slack in the pushrod, or vice-versa, tight cable = tight pushrod. But this isn't the case.

I race an SV, the street version of this engine, and learnt this the hard way.....

Attached are screengrabs from the service manual. The 1/4 turn slack on the pushrod (part #4 in the diagram) is critical.

Thank you for this. That is the exact procedure I follow when adjusting the clutch assembly and clutch lever. The manual for some reason has #3 & #4 mixed up at some parts of that clutch assembly instruction, but the message is clear. I don’t precisely measure the lever slack, but rather just eyeball that. Right now I would say that both the lever cable ends are in the middle of their respective ranges, so I think that is a good thing, but don’t know for sure.

The nut at the assembly however, keeps slowly loosening every 1000km, which in turn allows the pushrod screw to loosen, so I need to use some blue loctite on that nut.

Used to live in Edmonton, now I live in T-Bay.

In Edm, all the DS and ADV guys would meet up at Tim’s on Wednesdays. Anything like that going on here?

If there isn’t, anyone want to start?

Saw some in Vermillion Bay on my way back from Dryden to Kenora. Lots of patches, but none I recognized. One was a medicine wheel?

I think a bunch of riders were meeting at the Tim's on Arthur Street, but I'm not sure of the dates or times. I'm in Current River, so I've been too
    lazy to wander over there.

Anyone around Kenora or Dryden have a Twin Max or carb stix? Looking to sync throttle bodies on a R1100GS.

The Superior Riders meet on Wed. nights and Sat. at 10 am at Tim Horton on Balmoral beside Montanas. They are a mixture of every kind of bike with some ADV. I moved from Edmonton too. Bob.
