I didn't know there is more than one? But I always start out in southford falls in oxford and go as far as time allows. Still haven't made it all the way to the end yet, but that's the plan this season

My normal cage route to work is 44 to 318 to 219 to 20 to the airport.

But my KLR route varies widely. Yesterday it was Canaan valley rd(crossing into Mass) up to rt 272 over to hotchkiss rd and east hill road. Cross over new Marlboro rd into sandisfield state forest(York lake) and various dirt roads up to Rt 57. Then east on 57 thru new Boston and continuing east until Burt hill rd on the rt. following Burt hill to colebrook river rd and rivers rd. then hartland rd to Jeff miller rd. then right on west hartland rd crossing back into CT which renames the road Milo Coe. This goes to Rt 20 around the back of the barkhamsted reservoir. Continuing down 20 thru granby and to the airport.

Today a simpler KLR route...44 to 182(behind George's garage) and various back roads thru Colebrook and over to rt 8 north of Winsted. Then another Rt 20 loop around the reservoir to the airport.

You got to love KLR commuting from home in East Canaan to Bradley airport...so many options. Just comes down to how much time you have available.

I did see a gpx download a few months back that I downloaded and modified into a loop for me starting just north of the Bridgeport ferry. Does anyone have any tracks that start in the new Milford area? Something I could pick up outside NYC or Peekskill area?

Anyone going to be dual sporting around this route today? I'm escorting my wife's dad on his road bike to falls village (on his way to lake George) and hitting up toymakers. Looking to hit some of the route and/or local trails on the way home or while up there.

What a great ride. Up to toymakers by road and followed BTAO's route all the way south. Saw a few KLR's on the way home on the route. [IMG]

That was me and a bud on our KLR's you ran into on the trail. We were taking the scenic route today. We are up and around the mid to north west parts of CT on weekends usually. Drop a line if you want to ride.

So where or how do I find this list of dirt public roads in CT so I can make my own loops.

I got it already. Thanks. Been compiling longest dirt roads. Town with the most dirt roads and looking at where they are on the map.

Was riding on 20 and found one dirt road in Tunxis state forest. Liked it. Goggled dirt roads in CT and this thread came up. Anyone riding these loops this weekend? I would Like to learn some more.

I've been hitting them one or two at a time. Haven't done any loops. Got three in Sharon this week.

I could/would hit some dirt roads this weekend. I usually leave my place here in East Canaan and head north up thru Canaan Valley and into Mass. Hit as much dirt road as possible.

A KLR650 and start times can vary based on who's riding. I'm off all day tomorrow and Sunday until about 3pm.

I'm currently off on Friday and Saturdays. I'm flexible on start times and places. So if anyone wants to meet and ride sometime I'm game.

Well I'm not sure I know these dirt routes that are being discussed in this thread, but I do know some dirt routes I regularly ride. Looks as if we share a Friday off so I'll check and see if I got anything this Friday.

    Where you located?

I ran a track sent to me by another CT rider last week from Southford Falls to the TMT over two days. I did two afternoons. Got off in first afternoon in Washington Depot and returned there and finished two days later. I'm also in Shelton. If your interested I will send you the tracks.
