Green Mountain today, hit impassable snow at about the 3100 ft level.
FS 17 had some nice views today.....
On NF3006 near Pysht.
No it is not...
Double low traffic on Mom's day this year on the coast.
This guy was having fun getting close up shots of sea lions and the light house. 45mph. He ran the drone out to the light house and watched the monitor until it got to the spot he wanted, then took a still photo...guessed the price right at $700. We chatted about mounting a gun on it....5 pound pay load.....thought latter about what is on the other side on the light house...….a nude beach...
162 miles to work today just because!
Is that what a new Connie looks like ?
I can just imagine how fast and smooth......all......day …...long.
Got educated years ago...spring break....collage days got invited to one of the roomies home in Coos Bay,,,excuse me..North Bend...whew!
We went down in a Pick Up truck, came back in a Mercedes ….what a difference in the way we felt after the rides. PU beat the crap out of us. Mercedes felt like we were couch surfing.
Haha!! Yeah its a Concours!! I'm gonna change the badges to GTR1400 which they call them in europe. Cool badges too. Everytime people say "Connie" it reminds of a chick saying"hi! I'm Connie from wiscooooonson"(kinda like those two bimbo's in movie FARGO..can just hear it) Hahaha!!! Hate that name! It is smooth as hell thats for sure. Just ordered a slip on Delkevic muff for it to get a bit of that Kerker oldschool sound. That factory can is ugly and too quiet. As far as Benz's go I know what you mean. Have had a few and still have an old 300e and the ride is sweet. BTW.. chinked up the 1290. Chain came off and broke all three bosses for clutch slave...sigh...thats a different story
Broke the chain on my 950 two falls ago. Knew it was on it's last licks but went to a ride to the coast as fall was fast approaching.
Got chased backed to the barn with weather moving in, and forgot about the tired loose chain on a long uphill that felt really good at 80.
Damn...love that motor....then about that time the engine rev'ed to beat the band, I chop the throttle, pull the clutch, look in the mirror if anyone is close,,,ha, ha...and pull into the down hill lane.
Chain got bunched up and could not be pull out, so wrapped it up out of harms way and coasted down hill to my cousins. Had to push it about 100 feet.
Got a ride home and a nice chat with my cousin.
Lucked out...no case damage.
Conks are cool... Had a '80 CB750F with soft bags and a '82 GS1100 with the same issues and said I wanted a bike with incorporated hard bags and shaft drive... And the '86 Concours arrived...
Both the '86 and the '08 were named 'Constance' - although 'Connie" slipped in plenty of times...
Pic from passing the torch from 22 years of commuting (and 84K miles) on the '86 to the 11 years of commuting on the '08 that followed (currently at 36K miles) ... I lived 12 miles from work... And retired on 02 APR 20....
Was supposed to sell the Conk to pay for the 790R... Wuhan changed that!!
Back to Northwet Pics.... neighbor had not been up on Dow Mountain... gave him a tour two days ago...
Prices Lake in the foreground... Saddle Mountain beyond that... Ellinor and Washington with snow on them...
Someone down here needs a two up bike. The 86 Connie still have legs? Will set up PM after coffee this am.
Enjoy that 790...hearing good thinks about that one.
Oh the goods
