Send your Suspension to George at 101. I just got mine back from him and I’m blown away how much his work transformed the WP set up. Best investment I have made in my 890R

Just doing the first km in my net 890R and amazed with it. Is also my first dual bike and I'm learning to go off-road.
I will be watching this thread with interest.

And also thinking about installing the 1finger clutch.
Now, with the stock one, I'm able to push with 2 fingers. The longer travel of the camel 1finger will let me do that? Or will it need the space between my fingers and the handlebar?

Not Another 890 Adventure R Build Thread...? Nope (Unfortunately @ramirin ruined the concept of a X90 bike 'build' for the rest of us mortals! :lol2 )

But hey, who doesn't like Another X90 Adventure N Some Installation Required Thread...?

What I'm really looking forward to are your photos. I've been enjoying your photography over in the MOSKO thread for some time now. :super

It's not a longer travel, but a softer pull. So for me it doesn't trap your other (non pulling) fingers between the lever and bar.....hope that makes sense.

I have talked to Alex at Konflict briefly about the new cartridge kit, which's an option for sure. I had not heard of the WP cartridges, although, it sounds like those don't fit these particular forks. I have heard really great things about Suspension 101.

Gotta get your backside correct! This was a pretty complicated install, so I won't bore you with the details... :rolleyes
Seat Concepts is the only way to fly. Decided to go with the Rally model this time around (standard height). I had the Comfort model on my 790 and it was a little too "dished" for my liking. I can already tell that this version is going to suit my riding style much more better.

I'm having a tough time deciding on which seat Concepts Seat to get.

I want long distance comfort...but retain the ability to move back and forth

I am watching this build thread with interest. Still waiting for my 890R to drop at the dealer sometime this month.
I've accumulated a few goodies already- Ian Chappel skid plate, Rottweiler Powerplate, TCM Headstraight & Perun Large Luggage Rack. Waiting for post-delivery evaluation before I start with the ergonomics tweaks. I am concerned with possible excessive sweep in the handlebars, easy movement from sitting to standing relative to my height and inseam length re: the footpeg position, and the seat itself. With that in mind, I've put the start of a spreadsheet together tabulating information and options regarding the footpegs. Hint: there are LOTS of variables! Seeing how I can't attach the spreadsheet to this thread, please feel free to PM me, and I will be happy to share it with you.
OP: FYI, the Camel footpegs match the OEM pegs for location per Chris at Camel ADV. Camel was VERY responsive to my inquiry and has other products I am considering.

I would suggest going with the tall version of this seat in suede if you were looking for the best of both worlds. (And you have the inseam to back it up)
I compromised with the regular height/gripper top because I have a short inseam and suede requires way more upkeep.

So you think the comfort version isn't worth it?

I think that the comfort version is the most comfortable option, but it's not the best suited for aggressive riding.

I cannot wait to spoon on a set of Motoz when my care package from Woody's Wheel Works shows up!
I am thinking RallZ rear and Desert HT front to kick off the riding season since I spend a lot of time on pavement connecting routes this time of year.

Great looking 890! Seems like you are well on your way to having her dialed in just the way you want her.

If you see my 250 in my truck I'm going to or coming from a ride. If you see my 790 in a truck it's broke, and probably for sale...
