They're malossi filters, really popular among the vintage Vespa and small cc crowd. I honestly don't remember what website I got them off. I plan on changing them to k&n's with a custom intake tube. Probably would of done it by now but I kind of like the malossi's so I haven't been in a hurry.

Went well, pretty happy with just about everything. The starter did decide it wanted to stay running in the middle of nowhere. Beautiful place to break down.

Also don’t think I like the turn signals. They’re amazing most of the time but when the sun is shining on them it washes them out to much. Have some other ones in mind.

Picked up another /5 a few weeks ago too! B7BF528E-7A3E-4220-A678-A7956B499B00.jpeg 1CCAC8E8-B598-4939-9C7E-94ADC1EDD9DC.jpeg

And a muffler is still in the works along with a few other things. Although it’s really not that loud out on the road.

Some of you will be happy to know the new /5 will be getting closer to a restoration than this one...

Shake down #2 with a different starter motor was successful!

New wheels I’m thinking 18” front and back like what’s on there. Excel rims slightly wider and sealed to run tubeless sport tires.

Going to play around with some gold valves in the forks too. Probably order a set of ohlins for out back and start collecting parts for the motor rebuild. Cam, lightened fly wheel, Pistons etc.

Bike looks fantastic as it sits. You might try a set of Avon AM26 tires before you drop the coin on some new wheels. Unless yours are particularly beat. Going wider does not enhance handling. Good quality rubber sure does though.

Thank you, bike has held up well and is a blast to ride. However I plan on pulling it down to frame and making some refinements now that I’ve put a few thousand miles on it and know what I like and don’t like about it. So might update this thread in the future.
