first, i left my job in August 2019 so i can pursue riding and that fulfilled many of my dreams. i came back in February of this year, self quarantined for 2 weeks, then we had a nationwide outbreak the following month. the DV nOObs rally got canceled and left me with plenty of time to plan what to do next.

and since our CA Governor directed us to stay home, i had been stuck here for 3 months. and since i don't have a job to go to, that's a mighty long time to be here at home, especially without a television; glad i stock up on good books and have the advrider.com forum to keep me sane.

finally, on June 17th, i took off for Oregon so i could ride with friends.

There are worst places to make a wrong turn. Riding the Feather River Canyon down and back does not suck.

didn't really consider it lost as in LOST since i was having too much fun until i saw my fuel gage showing only 1/4 full. that got me to rethink.

love that area and made me remember the nice ride we did a few years back.....and it snowed.

Great pics! Have wanted to see California since I was a kid in the late '60's, wasting my allowance on hot rod and chopper magazines. Looking forward to more. Safe travels.

Edit: saw a bit of Oregon through work. Plan to ride that country once the pandemic lifts.

2020.06.19 - Day 3, Medford OR - Union Creek OR

after a good night sleep, i went for breakfast before meeting the rest of the guys. when i returned to the bike, i realized i don't have my phone with me. went back to the restaurant, asked everyone and nothing. my gut feeling is the ride is now over. all my contact info and communications that i saved are gone. my carelessness and not backing up the phone finally bit me. there's still hope. i'll just go to a T-Mobile store and get a new phone, and this will cause a big delay.

i put on my helmet, and felt an object inside. wtp! it's my phone. dumb, dumber, and dumbest all that is me.

handcannonshooter (Mike) was already waiting for me and i was by about an hour when i got there. we proceed to Shady Cove where we are going to meet our generous host, @Mofrid so we can all drive together to his cabin.

the timing was perfect, Mofrid just arrived and all 3 of us on our way
    [IMG]

    the landscape is looking good
    [IMG]

then to a nicely laid perfectly straight road cutting through a nice forest

now we're about to enter a private road
    [IMG]

nice to be able to turn off my ABS and set the traction control to the next notch....lol

sorry for the blurry picture, luggage unloaded and the bikes enjoying the fresh air

    continuation of Day 3

Mofrid (Bill) gave us plenty of time to relax, then he put us to work....thought i was on vacation:rofl
    [IMG]

meanwhile inside, the 2 guys are putting together the atomic reactor that Bill will use to power up the cabin
    [IMG]

i took a short break and checked out the source of the sound that i hear from where i was doing hard labor. wow, we are next to the Rogue River and it's in the most upstream location. more of that when i get to the Oregon coast.

for the rest of the day, we just hanged out and listened to the sound of the running water. Mofrid also prepared a nice dinner before we went to bed.

    Day 4 next......:y0!
