Yo, Phil! Steverino and myself will forsake the comfort of your garage in favor of a truly hardy ride straight into D.C. and garage #46. See y'all at the pub! :freaky

Apparently I get a pen, or maybe even a coffee cup :): . I asked about a discount on Aerostich gear and the guy running the booth just laughed.

yup, and it's slick too. They closed GW Pkwy at Georgetown Pike for a while to salt it. I get on GW by Spout Run and had it all to myself. Really cool !!!

I was just out and about - not much snow, but it is slick as snot - cars spinning tires and doing stupid things - one even spun out on I66, went through the fence and landed on it's side on the metro tracks, so I66 and the metro were hosed for a while this AM.

dammit. I can deal with the cold. but slick roads are not to be fucked with on two wheels. especially coming home in the dark.

what time is that metro leaving from Lorton?

Left home for work (sucks) a little after 9 and encountered heavy traffic on every road I might use -- toll road, 66, 28, you name it. Plus, the orange line was delayed, thanks to the superb parking skills of that SUV driver. :rolleyes So I gave up and went back home. :D

Freak, most of the roads were clear, but a few were slippy. It's not going to get any warmer between now and tomorrow morning.

that's the problem. wet roads, then colder, not above freezing tomorrow and then a ride home at night. I don't like dodging ice at night. looks like a cage ride to the springfield station. :bash

see ya at Fado's around 11:30. as it stands now Jay will be with me. we could have the wives in tow.

guess I'll get to have a few pints after seeing the show :2beer

Update from tonight's commute home: Roads are all dry- but now they're covered in about an inch of fucking salt!!! Jesus- they can't care for a road here worth a shit! Morning commute there was nothing on the roads but snow- evening commute and you can't get through all the damned salt to the pavement! Calling for a high of 24 tomorrow- if you ride watch out for the salt piles...I'm cagin' it.
