If anyone reading this is inspired to visit Nova Scotia, I live just outside Halifax, with a yard just big enough to pitch a tent and enough of a garage to pretend I know how to fix things.

I ride a DR 650 and a '86 Ninja 1000 (sometimes both on the same day!).

Happy to welcome any ADV'ers to our fair province!

Whoa blast from the past! What a fun ride. I'm glad I took the time to keep up with these ride reports so I'd have something to look back at later. Can't recommend documenting a trip on ADV enough.

Anyways, the old beemer's still going. I recently put waaaaay too much money in to a KTM fork swap in the hopes of running it in some rallies over the next few years. Bling! :pimp

And now I have a real grown-up job and can't find time to take month-long road trips anymore :( On the bright side--I have ADV! :clap Now I spend my spare office time reading somebody else's ride reports :lurk Thanks for reading! Now go out there and do the same thing so I'll have something to distract me from what I'm supposed to be doing :deal

Thanks to DC's bump, I got to read your fun RR, and get sucked into that other thread.....! Enjoyed it, thanks for posting up. Too bad Newfoundland worked you over a bit, it is an amazing place, go back sometime a little later in the year, and spend more time.

Hey Brad, I really enjoyed your RR. Thanks for posting it. I am curious about Nate, though. Did you guys ever patch things up? What is he doing now?

    Thanks

Nope. He threatened to, and I quote, "shoot me in the face if I ever went to his house again." Seems a silly thing to make death threats about. Dude had issues! No idea what he's been up to since.

The 'never leave a mans behind' thread still pings me every now and then. Cracks me up. One of the best parts of that road trip.

Yeah. Riding in the rain was his biggest complaint. Those little drops feel like needles at 70. On a road trip that long though you can't stop for every cloud. He refused to wear a full faced helmet even though I offered to give him one.

heck he refused to wear a dot helmet period. He went out of his way to get one that said "novelty item" inside. Cuz he's so tough he doesn't need one I guess? Can't believe I ever hung out with that guy.

Last week I went motocamping for the first time. As I loaded my crap I kept telling my self don't look like Nate...don't look like Nate..don't look like Nate. After the bike was loaded I was glad it didn't.
