I just rolled into the garage. 1,437 miles.
Actually, I have no idea how far I rode total, since I could not have ridden that far.
Has to be closer to around 1,000.

Home and unloaded. Thank you Joel for all your hard work pulling this off.

Thank you to all those that went on my rides both days. Outstanding group of riders.

What the hell went off at 3:30 this morning, a cannon?

A little puzzled after watching this video? Giant backpacks, giant rear trunks, saddle bags? Were you planning on camping out there? If not why so loaded down? Looked like wrong bikes in the wrong terrain with exception of the Husky, no excuse for him:D

Met a couple of new people and the Friday ride was great! The swelling in my wrist from Saturday's tumble is a little better now. Big thanks to SpongeRob for making sure I made it back to the hwy. Looking forward to next year.

Riding over 1st week in Dec. from home to Pahrump to watch my Son race in the Best in the Desert final race of the season. Might be :vardy:vardy:vardy:vardycold. He will finish 2nd in points this year with his Razor. He got an offer from Can-am & will be racing their new model in 2017. Glad you had a good time, Joel & those CA guys are the best! Watched your video:eekers:eekers:eekers:eekers

I forgot to post a big thank you to Joel for firing off this rally.
That was fantastic. It was great to get a day with Jimmy and Heather again. It has way, way too long since the last time.
I will be working hard on my balance. And I am already a much better rider in the stuff I really hate than I was.

Next up is a big, big thank you to Marie and Mike for cooking the coffee, and setting up what was the heart of the rally. The fire pit out on the infield may have been the hearth, the heart was there at Marie and Mike's mobile door.
    Thank you.

Now, I need to work on an espresso maker for next year. :lol3
The bandwidth at my house is being taxed while I upload photos. I have several hours of video editing to complete before I'll have anything watchable. Mostly Jimmy Lewis from my P&S, since my GoPro decided not to play.

Right now, I'm on laundry duty. More as Smugmug fills up.

An easy, peasy quest for the desert ale

10 am @ the cathouse. Nothing but a few relaxed looking individuals checking out of the hotel.

Ted & Dick took the bait and showed up right on time. The road to Sherri's continues on to the lakebed and up across old spanish road. There was deep loose gravel from the lake to the road and again for a mile or so after crossing the road. Not pleasant for the big bikes but doable.

Please take the time to admire the manual fuel gauge handiwork. Accuracy of .25 USGAL!

A short while later we found ourselves down a little canyon at the China Date Ranch slurping down tasty, tasty date shakes. They were so good I forgot to take photos. Very cool place and worth the visit.

Our ultimate destination for the day, Death Valley Brewing about 10 minutes away in Tacopa. We walked in to the tasting room and ran into this:

Ok, it was *exactly* like this, but it was close. Damn close. There was some sort of tall, lean, 20-something, short-short, pretty girl convention going on so we stuck around for a while.

The inmates were VERY excited about the proceedings and even managed to win some raffle prizes.

After the girls left, there wasn't anyone else there but adventure riders, so we moved the party over to Shoshone and found great 'Bald Guy Only' parking right outside the Crowbar.

Made it back to camp by sundown. Never did manage to catch back up with the girls. Maybe next time.
