Just asking, we know your mileage, we know how many tires (tyres?) you went through, but how many 'different' craft beers did you "try?"

    75? A tad low I'd say.

I shared a bit of your recent transect with a good friend who has a loathing of all things two wheel, with a special enmity for "loud." "Poltroons!" he declares when they pass. He focused quickly on your craft brew selection and thinks you may well be onto something. We'll certainly be watching for next year's quest.

Loved everywhere we’ve been thank you to all we’ve met and who helped make our journey special!

Hey Tom assumed you caught up with your mates and did you get to Tuk safely OK?

What was the road like as I've heard various reports and we think we may give it a shot next year ..

Good to hear you’re back home safely Peter and now the travel bug will hit you that is if it already hasn’t, it’s like a urge to get moving somewhere, but don’t worry that too will pass, hmmm maybe.

The ride report is over here: https://advrider.com/index.php?threads/20-days-to-play-heading-north.1335007/

... it isn't quite finished yet, but we're just covering the ride home. I got to Inuvik (200km short), and the two other riders did get to Tuktoyaktuk. We had "some" mechanical troubles, I missed Tuk due to a blown head-gasket, and David lost five or so days to a failed main (crankshaft) bearing. I buggered off while we were waiting for parts and rode Telkwa pass, which was the highlight of the trip for me (video).

The Dempster is your classic northern gravel highway... your experience will depend on the weather, your choice of bike + tires, and your off-road experience ... probably in that order. Safest to have some slack in your schedule so you can wait out bad weather. The last 200km I didn't get to ride, David does describe it in the ride report (here - day 13). We had relatively good weather, 3 KTM 640's which _loved_ the road, and three competent off-road riders. -Tom
