We’re def at Mulege tonight (Mon)
Last nights digs at San Ignatius (Kongs or Wong’s motel) south end of town just off highway! ... run by the lovely Manuel.
Dig the groovy bed spreads! I sprayed the room for mosquitoes after having a disturbed night at Bahia de LA and nearly killed us!! I am sure the Mexican fly spray is actually Sarin gas!!

The last 15 k of this road are incredible julie got some pics from the tail gunners seat! I was too hooked in to stop!!
Holed up in Mulege at this fantastic (a little above budget) Hotel Cassitas! Cerveza in hand and Bike in courtyard!!

Pic below Says it all really! We filled up tonight for 380 pesos and only had 280 and the card didn’t work! So the guy let us go home and get some pesos!! He didn’t even cut our hearts out and put them in our mouths!!
And the water is warm as well!!

friends Scotty and Really (yes really!) ... snorkelling, swimming, jet skiing and loving the water ...

A bit of catching up to do! After an awesome day at the beach we ride into Loretto to find ourselves staying at a brew pub!! However did that happen!
Hotel 1697 highly recommended!

I sorted my tooth out this morning at a low cost Mex dentist! Charged me less than the excess on my insurance so I’ll take that as a win assuming it lasts!!
San Javier Mission ... cool ride up a neat road to get there in 103 degrees!
Inside was cool and very beautiful
There is a famous 380 year old olive tree behind the mission ...
We piled up the road behind the mission which looked good...
Emboldened by this I hit the water crossing on the way out a bit fast and we added a new water cooled fixture to us and the LH pannier!! Bugger!! Mrs Peter640 was not impressed!!
I think she still loves me and it’s my birthday tomorrow!

Ohhh did I! As soon as I rolled in they greated me like an old friend. We went for a ride around the bay yesterday.
I couldn’t tear myself away from that beach until this morning. The couple in the green abundance were super cool also. It was like a beach family for a couple days
I’m turning back towards LA so probably won’t see you guys again (this trip). Will be following your report with interest!
Morning Baja! The coast road south from Loreto is very special!
Then normal desert service resumes interspersed with shrines and the odd police check!!
The first 120 kms were good then a yucky 120 kms. The run into La Paz gets a little better. The City was not a crazy as I feared just a big country town!!
