Hi Susan, Wow....I'm so glad you found the pictures and it was able to help you connect with your father....awesome! The crash site is a very special place for me, I really felt it needed some kind of memorial to honor those who lost their lives in support of our country. I hope the plaque will help keep the site whole and people will respect it for what it is. I sent you a private message through this site, if you get it please reply as I'd like to get you some more full size images of the site. Thanks again for posting here, it means a lot to me as well!

    Hope to hear back..

Wow!!! What a cool outcome... I have ridden much of this area because of this ride report, but haven't been to the memorial yet! Next year will be the year.

I won't be surprised if some advrider(s) get the right vehicle and help Susan visit the site. Wish I was closer to the area.......

Really appreciate the efforts of the team who undertook this task. As an AF kid whose dad flew for 20+ years (to include a year in Viet Nam when all we had was letters and voice tapes) and then served in the AF for 12 years myself, this ride report hits home. I was fortunate that my dad came home safely (there were a few "crash landings").

With all the negatives in todays society, this story and the actions of the riders really reflects the positive side of humanity and true Americans.

    Thanks,
    Marc

I sent that offer to Susan in the PM :-). I'll be heading to the crash site with the Unimog next spring, going to take my father up to the site. We could easily pick Susan up in Denio Junction and take her up to the crash site if she would like to visit.

Thanks Marc for the kind words.

Stickers baby!...In case anyone wants a shot of my ugly mug on their vehicle Etc. Lol. My buddy wants me to start a "I spotted Hodakaguy" setup where people tag me with a pic when a sticker is spotted in the wild. I've had several requests for these so figured it was time to get the ball rolling and have some made :-)

Now when I travel I can leave my mark :-)
