There are several between the US east coast and Europe on the Atlantic floor unopened.

They are flawless at submerging, still a few minor bugs to work out for ascending.

Ok got a line on a lower mileage 2012 Wrangler. 3.6 engine, auto transmission (580?). Does not have the left bank ticking noise, which is warrantied out to 2012. Seems solid, rides solid. Undercarriage looks good. Anything else to really look into? Nice part off the bat, does not have a winch or $3000 worth of those ridiculous light bars.

If the trans slips or hangs shifts, just run away.

Excuse my ignorance please, but what is that gearbox-looking-thing sticking up through the floor between the seats?

It's got a pulley on it and it's right over the transmission, so Ill go with power takeoff, but what would you drive in the middle of the cab? A generator for radio transmitter/ receiver? Both of the above correct? :hmmmmm

Meh. That’s a current model Jeep in a box.

It doesn’t come with a drivetrain.

That video looks like someone just got their hands on After Effects and this was the first thing they made with it

and RVdan, what do you mean by current production? as in these are replicas with no engine etc?

Yes they’re reproduction parts made in the Philippines.

Is it a quality kit? I dont think people would mind if its a reproduction as long as it wasn't crap.

Are you just mean to source the engine etc elsewhere?

Almost nothing modernly produced for Willys jeeps is quality and the die hards will shit a brick at the mere mention of using “repop” parts on an original.

it’s like the hillbilly version of porsche or bmw except those companies actually survived the last 50 years :lol3

Which would be great if there was room for the headers, cooling, and it didn't mess with the driveline angles. They are for sure easiest to leave stock but high quality stock parts are rare.

    Wonderful little shitbox catch-22's :lol3
