Once the frost thawed and dried ... Day two found us departing Wildhorse Canyon and into and around Copper Basin. Copper Basin tests your ability stay on the road whilst looking above at the bare rocky ridges high above.

Am I the only one that can’t see your last 3 posts? Tried my phone and computer.

... You should be able to see the images now. I need to make sure that I'm sharing from a dedicated shared album and not my main gallery.

Burma Road ... easily on my top 5 lists of roads. Burma is a road that the 1090 eats up .. it's nice and flowy before it crests a 8000 + ft summit overlooking the Pahsimeroi Range ...

    Mind blowing ...

Our next move is to work our way towards the valley center in the picture. This will take is up over Double Springs Pass into the Pahsimerio Valley where we will connect Stanley via the Custer Motorway ...

Once over Burma we dropped back down to the valley floor and jumped onto Hwy 93 to Doublespring Pass Rd.

After the pass we dropped down Doublespring Rd and Pahsimeroi Rd back to Hwy 93 north of Challis. Once back in the valley the road unexpectedly transitioned from gravel to a sealed and then a paved surface. Throttles were properly exercised making time back to Hwy 93.

You said it ... it is one of those vistas that pictures never do justice.

Reconnecting with Hwy 93 we stop in Challis for fuel and food before jumping onto the Custer Motorway.... 35 miles of easy gravel into Custer/Bonanza.

From Custer the shadows were getting long so beelined it towards Sunbeam and Hwy 75. I personally find the Hwy 75 stretch from Sunbeam to Stanley to be a hoot. It's a twisty scenic rip along the rivers edge that IMO compliments the end of a long day.

We blasted through Stanley and found a nice streamside camp along what we refer to as the "Horn"

Our final day proceeded once once our bodies reached normal operating temperature. Our route was simple as we would cut across the Landmark/Stanley road .... a popular croos over route for many travelling through the area. Conditions were dry and we were entering back into the wildfire smoke, so pictures were few.

To Deadwood ... To Scott Mountain ... To home.

We logged approx 650 miles in 3 days ... all bikes ran well (with the exception of a fuel pump issue on my 1090 that has since been resolved, it did however get me home) and the OBR ADV Gear luggage performed perfectly. The best luggage kit is the one you don't even know is there!
