i tried to ride trail 80 last weekend.. it was super loose.
are there trails that arent so bad? im looking for a medium to hard pack with side trails that loop back to the main stuff..
Trail 80 was hell for me. not a big bike friendly trail

Planning to go out this sat July 7th to do some riding. Also plan to go fast, want to test out the bike before the ftr season starts up again. Put new bearings on everything and maybe new rear tire if I get time.

If anyone is up for some riding, going to Sr 19 Wiregrass trail to start with, going for 9 am.

Anyone in the Orlando area that can take a peek at a car for me (just need a visual, no test drive) help a fellow PAR rider out? If so PM me.
    Thanks

New guy from Jacksonville here - getting my Versys 300 ready to go, hope to meet up for some rides soon! Just moved to FL and really don't know the area. Have been exploring the Jacksonville Beach area.

Had a great ride in the forest with a few FF’s today. Thanks @Dr.Z for leading and taking out “most” of the spiders.

This bear just stood and stared us down for a while. We think it had Cubs in the woods nearby, there were some tiny paw prints next to that mud hole.

Felt good to finally get some more time on the 450. :ricky

Need to do that more often! Most of the trails we hit today I've never ridden. Quite a few of them flowed well.

I may be down around Thanksgiving to spend a few days and thought I would try my hand at sand riding, not much of that on the blue ridge mountains.
I will have a 690 with 50/50 tires and I am looking for a few good route through the forest.
Any help or company would be welcome.

    This sounds like fun :lol3

You will not like a 690 with 50/50 tires in sand at all .

I would recommend putting on an aggressive front tire for the sand, any soft/intermediate knobby will make a Uge difference, there are a few DOT approved out there. Thanksgiving should be a good time to ride around here, I'm sure we can arrange something. 690 is a great bike in the sand in my humble opinion it just doesnt turn as well as a 450/500 in the tight stuff. I ride a KLR650 as well and know a few areas that are not to sandy.

I've really been happy w/ my Pirelli rally front tire and the Scorpion XC mid hard (XCMH) for deep sand. The Rally front has close to 2000 miles on it and looks great (80% off road use) the XC rear has only been used in Ocala/Keystone area (It is a full knobby, but DOT approved). DM for more info if you want...I have access to a lot of choices
