Great ride today, but Husky needs more TLC before I can go out again so probably out for Presidents’ Day ride. Bad stumble at low throttle; think the fuel injector needs deep clean (I hope that’s all it is!). Can’t wait to do it again...

Fun ride yesterday even though we had a couple of flats. :bluduh

Good to meet some new peeps... Scott, Bob, & Doug. Nice to see some of the fellas... Rick and Kelly. :clap

Sorry for the miscommunication at the end of the ride Scott & Bob but glad to see you made it back to the parking lot.

Will do it again soon. Have to figure out another GPS solution since mine is fooked.

Took the KLR for a 50 mile jaunt around ONF this morning. Conditions were great, but there were a couple of puddles. IMG_1622.JPG IMG_1615.JPG

I will take a look, not sure what is involved. I have a pretty good tool collection... Not a mechanic, but I have always fixed and maintained my own stuff.

Ok, it's offical. We're moving to Ocala middle of Dec. Look forward to having friends to ride with after living in the wasteland of S Florida. Next question is which bike to buy. Currenty only bike is a YZ250F, so will be shopping for either a dual sport or light ADV bike. Current short list - 690 Enduro, 701 Enduro, DR650, XR650l, F800GS, 790 ADV-R.

DR650 does it all. Low maintenance and great reliability are pluses.

I live maybe 15 miles south of you. I sold my ktm 690 dual sport for a Moto guzzi cruiser. All the dual sports are to heavy for suger sand. I have my beta 300 rr setup as a dual sport.

I ride big and small bikes
All the time all year round
I live in summerfield 20 miles south of ocala and about 10 miles from the forest
I ride all over the whole ocala forest , when it’s dry it’s challenging to ride but is completely doable. There are better and worse areas
For sand as well as wet and dry areas.
when it’s has rained the conditions are amazing the sand firms up and you can really get around very ez
as far as bikes and size
    I ride a 350 /500/1090 Ktm
    I’ve had dr 650 and drz400 also

I’d say the best bang for your buck
    Would be the drz400
It’s just limited to the suspension
