Tomorrow I will leave Toulouse, France, for a 2 days off-road rides with my 2 buddies. We'll ride our 990adv and 12GS.

Here is the track we're going to ride

But before that, I have to wait for my work to end and to get back home to prepare my stuff :cry Browsing advrider.com is a good way to wait for the end of the day :lol3

Hi Aurel, First, let me state that I am totaly envious of you and your friends. I can't wait to see the trip report.

Are you taking the black or red dotted trail?

What did you use to make your road book? The images looked very impressive.

    Happy trails...:freaky

The 1985 ISDE was held in this area. I went as a member of the USA support team. The start was in the ski resort of La Molina. The American team stayed in Alp. A group of us went on a shopping trip to Puigcerda on the French border. We couldn't pronounce the name in spanish so we called it Pig City.

    Have a great time.

Let's go for the ride report!

On saturday we met at 8am on a parking

We drove from 8am to 11am from our city, Toulouse, to Collioure on the Mediterranean sea. The road cross the Pyrénées, moutains between France and Spain.

The weather was rainy, really rainy... So the track was a bit muddy but with some rocks so the traction was quite good at this moment.

After some km we arrived to an old church abandonned with a small restaurant close to it. It was about 1pm so we were a bit hungry and decided to stop there.

    Here is the restaurant

We had a typical spanish meal, that's was reallyyyy good :D

After this break we were ready to race! But it was still rainning a lot... :cry

The track was a real pleasure, a bit muddy, just enough to have fun :lol3

Taking a look at a part of the road book which was not in the carrier is not such easy under the rain...

As it was still raining we started looking for a dry place where to put our tents. We stopped in a small abandonned church with a very nice view.

Once inside we dropped all our wet clothes in a "sexy" way...

While the sun was leaving us the view was wonderful!

We put our tents in the church main room

This was going to be my house for the night!

All of us while having a beer

After some beers, a bottle of wine and some food we was so tired that we went to sleep

    Home sweet home!

After a good night we woke up, it was a bit cold inside and outside the church...

    My clothes were still wet...

We tried to put the daily road book in my carrier but the sheets was to wet...

We left the church to continue on the track up to a very old bridge

The track was getting more and more wet

Too muddy for you my friend ? :lol3

While crossing a small village we stopped to have a drink and a meal in a warm place

Then we get back on the track but after the rain we had... snow, a lot of snow!

It was getting harder as we were moving highter and highter

Visibilty was about 5m or less...

Mud was freezing on my exhausts... :huh

After some battery problems on the 12GS we decided to get back on the road and go back home

We crossed the French border and drove to our town by night.

This trip was wet but great :clap

Now I'm really tired so I'm going to sleep :lol3
