I kinda thought the same thing. Did he die while riding and then crashed, or did he crash while riding and then died?

The "more info after autopsy" was just that article's way of stating that the authorities will make a determination on cause of death after the autopsy, not that this info will then be posted by the news.

IMO the media does not view it as their job to follow up with further details on stories like this, they just provide the initial report. So unless you know someone who knows more or are someone willing to call around, we'll never know. Case in point, I saw a dead women on 6th Avenue last Monday morning on my way to work...you'd think that's something local news would follow up on but nope.

I sort of thought from the way it was reported that it sounded like a heart attack or something. There’s not that many things to hit on that trail that could really cause a fatality like hauling ass and hitting a tree or something, and his buddies were right behind him? It’s sad and I’m not trying to over analyze the situation but in my line of work we do try to figure out the precise causes of accidents so that they are not repeated.

If my riding friends notify me of medical concerns, my first question is usually what size boots they wear :deal
