Sweet. You'll love the Tenere and the Area here in So. Utah. Some incredible riding here and a great place to break in the Tenere...

Just updated the list. It's growing fast and shaping up to be a great Rally. This is an opportunity to see some of the most spectacular country in the World. If you don't see your name on the list send me a PM so I can add it.

    I am in.
    Riding from Lexington, Michigan.
Stopping at my 2nd place in Indpls, Indiana.
I am looking for other riders in Michigan or Indiana to ride with. No freeways.
I bought Chris's high mileage 2o12 blue S10 put some dirt tires on it then I dropped a beam on my left foot which killed last riding season. Bike has 133,000 miles on it and I only did 1000 so really feel like it needs some more open road..I know I do.
    Thanks. Doug

Count me in. Riding to all the National Parks in the US this year on a DR650 (minus Hawaii) . This park just happens to be my favorite and perfect time of year. Should be a blast.

So I have a DeLorme Atlas of Utah and I'm looking for roads and trails that can get me into some trouble.
Anyone coming to this rally that likes to explore and doesn't mind getting into places that no big adventure bikes have ever been ?
    We need to meet up.
I don't know the area good but on this map I see lots of jeep trails in the area.
Has anyone tried roads like Hurricane Mesa RD, or Smith Mesa RD, North Fork RD or maybe Canaan Mt. RD.

On the way to the rally I'll be taking my wife on a sight seeing route, Like Burr Trail , Muley Point, Valley of the Gods, The Goosenecks,

Don't want to alarm everyone but I am looking at the possibility of having someone else take this Rally over. I have a conflict with the dates of the Rally right now. My parents this past week booked a cruise for them and their kids and spouses for the same week. My Parents are 76 now so not sure this opportunity will ever present itself again so really hate to miss it. They knew about the Rally but when they sat down with everyone that's the week the rest of my family could make it work and when they got the best deal. I thought about moving the dates but know some people have possibly made plans with work etc to attend and I hate to mess them up over me not being able to attend. What I'd really like is someone to be willing to step up and just take it over. There is no up front Money needed as the Zion Ponderosa campground does not require a deposit or anything. So it would basically be just showing up and running the show. Anyone willing to make this on please PM me. There is a lot of interest so I hate to just up and cancel it because of 1 person not going. Thoughts? Opinions on how to handle this?

Anyone still looking to go to this rally?
I for one will be there even if I'm the only one that shows up.
I don't need a tour guide or anyone's tracks to have a good time.
Lets have our rally and all have a good time.
Thanks Lacofdfireman for getting this started but I hope everyone still comes.

David laid the groundwork for a great gathering. I'm sure there will be a bunch of ST's there in September.

    *****UPDATE JUNE 21, 2016*****
I got a call from the Zion Ponderosa Resort and they had informed me that another group was wanting to come camp at this resort the same weekend. They were wanting to make sure this was still a go. I told them it was. She asked that people start calling in and reserving a spot and putting down a deposit. She said it would be refundable up to a certain point if you had to cancel. I believe its still the same price of $11 per night. She also wanted to know if people plan on using their restaurant... So if you are planning on going please call the resort and tell them its for the Tenere Rally and get your deposit in so she doesn't give this spot to someone else. That would be a total disaster..

Add me to the list. S. Utah is a great place to ride.
I'll be riding from Telluride CO.
Called the 800# listed on Zion Ponderosa website and was given a direct number and did talk to the resort staff. That number is 435-648-2700.
    See you all soon.
