This i will now become the current place to post questions/give answers/post notices/blablabla re: D2D 11
The sticky thread can be used to post attendance but let's use this one for everyday bidness.

    OK....I'll start.

The CounterSteering Committee met last Saturday to take advantage of the Dick being in town. We approved the design (thank you DapMan) for the official D2D shirt. Very cool. These shirts will be for sale at the Downtown Hotel Headquarters. New this year will be our official D2D11 sticky. Perfect for your panniers/windshields/refrigerators. Price to follow. Also for sale at DHH will be banquet tickets and poker run signups. Again more information will follow right here.

SWAG Call. I'm starting out early this season begging for give-away swag.
The more you give..... the more you get. If each of the D2D11 attendees (especially from the lesser 48) talks to his/her local dealers/vendors/businesses, we should be able to fill the room.
    Trinkets/caps/shirts/tools/cups/jackets/oil/tires/trips/meals/rooms/gags/
    posters/pictures/ a new 1200 GSA I'll take anything.
Alaska riders, step up to the plate here.
I need help from the Fairbanks riders. AKBeemer?
    Tracks? RD??

We will start a collection box at Alaska Leather.
Obviously the smaller the swag... the easier to get to DawCity.
    Talk to me.

    This is it.
The color of the "2" will most likely be white and the shirt itself will be grey.
DapMan knocked it out of the park with this one.
    Thanks bud.

You Sir, are a man of taste. I hear the vote went the other way though.

Both look great and Dapman has some killer graphics skill. I really like the way he blended Alaska with the devil's lettuce. Who knew he actually had a fattie on his mind when he came up with this? Amazing.

I'm getting some PM questions about where to register for the banquet and do other administrivia. Assuming things go as in the past, everything starts at the Downtown Hotel in Dawson City; the hotel along with the street out front are the epicenters of the event :freaky. On Thursday there will be a registration table set-up at which you can register for the dinner and the Poker Run, as well as buy a T-shirt; it also appears that this year there will be a D2D decal available. Seats at the banquet hall are limited so register early for the dinner; last year there were those who did not get a seat. :cry If I have this wrong :huh I'm sure an official correction will be issued.

    No "official" correction needed!
    Well stated. Thanks

We will use the conference room at the DHH for ticket sales/poker run registration/ shirt and sticky sales. The conference room is to the left as you enter the lobby and down the hall.
We will be soliciting folks to work the tables.

Fite, Count us in for a good donation this year! I will be driving Jethro out again. We have a lot of riders signed up to come with us so the truck will likely be really full but I will haul all of the MotoQuest stuff with me to lighten the load for Alaska Leather. I will track you down in Dawson to figure out where to unload it.

Greetings from Maple Leaf headquarters and that is not the lame hockey team! I refer of course to the right half of our new 2K11 logo!

Steak dinner on Friday night. Last year we determined that we could host 150 and so that is what we will have tickets for. First come, first tickets, we can not deal with the hassle of pre-booking, blah, blah. Remember, this ain't no F--kin rally.
Special for this year is the Dawson City fire fighters, yes, we have heroes too, will be cooking our steaks and their wives will be preparing all the other goodies. They have lost a couple of events and so are happy to be available for us as part of their fund raising, they do a hell of a job and no better group to be involved with.
Team Ptero HQ will be in even better shape this year to accommodate most bike issues. Remember, Dick don't drink a lot of beer but does drink red wine and non of that French chit ever!
Really looking forward to this years event, been a long nasty winter!

If y'all have any questions or need assistance aside from posting on ADV, just email me directly @ 'thedick@me.com', btw, I don't do hookers, sorry, too complicated, I'll talk to the firefighters!
