Dick can you keep us informed as to the TOW road repair progress.
I plan on providing y'all with a personal up to date ride report on the TOW as I intend on visiting my buddy Susan at least twice before D2D. Let us not forget that Susan has been a great friend to our event and she very nearly got wiped out by last years road closure for more than half of the last of last summer.
The last I heard was that she had applied for federal emergency assistance offered and that was after needing a substantial loan from her boyfriend to keep afloat. Not all disasters happen overseas and need our help!
It would be a great help to her if every D2D attendee were to stop in and buy gas, a piece of pie and a T-Shirt (she has great T-Shirts.... and even better pie!!!).
Yessir! Both ways.
Absolutely! This is a "must stop" for all the reasons mentioned. She is not the roadhouse that fronts the highway, take the right turn off (northbound) just before and a few hundred lards later you are there. I think the sign said "Downtown?" She supports us with great D2D shirts and more. And the pie is the best homemade I've had in along time. Pick your flavor and its there.
Not being from the area can someone post the name and location. I almost never pass a chance for gas. And pie! MMMMM I would be willing to try a piece or three...
Can't miss it, just off the main road a bit and will look something like this -
ahhh ok I know the place.
Soooooooo, the front desk informed me today that most or all of the D2D wait list has been taken off and are confirmed stays and so for any of you concerned you just might phone in and check.
Off the wait list....whooohooo!
Thanks for posting that they had some openings at the Downtown hotel!
I am now booked for a ROOM and not a gravel lot at the Gold Rush
Now I just have to get out of the Middle East and back to FL, prep the bike (oil and tires) then head to Key West to start this extravaganza!!
I CANNOT WAIT!!!
I was just down to the hotel this morning and Jamie said you had called and she was able to take care of you and you be the last, good on you.
The Inn is now all full.
I think we are all looking forward to the fun and games after this gruelling winter which just won't let go.
WOW - that is AMAZING GOOD LUCK for me!!
I cannot WAIT
Now I just have to get my route set so I arrive up there on time....no really set route made from Key West to Prudhoe and back yet....debating on whether I hit Dawson before or after Prudhoe....thinking AFTER so I have more time to run down the Cali coast on PCH after D2D....decisions decisions

Just checked the sigh-up thread and we're sitting at 153.
That is great news but it does remind me to remind you to remind your friends that Friday night banquet tickets will go fast. We are restricted to 140 attendees at the Palace Theater. Banquet tickets will not go on sale until Thursday morning. $25.00 US/CND. Folks will be able to purchase tickets at the Downtown Hotel (D2D headquarters) in the reception room or the bar.
If you plan on arriving late or later, you might want to arrange for a buddy to score these highly sought after tickets.
It's never too early/late to start whore'in yourselves out for much needed giveaway items. You kids headin' in from the lesser 48........ talk to your dealers and help us out.
Is there a drop off point locally here in Anchorage?
Yes... Barb/Doug and the other fine folks at Alaska Leather
(Minnesota and Spenard) have a box set aside for D2D swag.
Please designate where the product came from and who brought it in. That way we'll know where to ask if we have questions. If we know the vender/business
who donated, we can most often give those folks a little thank you/shout-out.
I'm really hoping that as a group we can fill several swag boxes.
If you can not get things over to Barb's shop pack them with ya and get them to me before the Friday night steak feed.
Again... riders coming in from out of state ... check your local dealers/stores/suppliers and hit them up before you leave. Let them know the what/where you're heading. ADV Riders are a global group that are always moving. We make excellent advertising.
NO SWAG IS TOO CHEAP!
SOME IS JUST BETTER THAN OTHERS.
