The Yammie dealer in Anchorage just donated two $25.00 Gift Cards. They are now in the SWAG BAG at Alaska Leather.

Got SWAG? Drop it off with Barb.

Just talked to Barb at ALeather and the eagle has landed, and it was a huge eagle. Big enough that we may need an extra truck/van/car to get all our swag to DC. Is anyone (local) driving a rig to D2D? Currently BigJohn and AkRider are the only two that I'm aware of. Others???
    Talk to me.

G'day Fighter, I think that I'll be driving to Dawson from Barb's place, only too happy to take some of it.

Not news, but a question for those of us not from the area.

Where are people staying in Dawson?

I found a website listing plenty of places:

    http://www.yukoninfo.com/dawson/hotelsandmotels.htm
and the same one with campgrounds

    Gold Rush Campground looks close...

    Any suggestions??

TIA -- looking forward to D2D!!

Gold Rush is the best option as you are right in town, other alternative if you are camping is the campground across the river, awesome but just have to deal with getting back and forth on the ferry, actually kind of cool!

If you turn out to not be an asshole and you decide that even if I am a Dick, I am in fact not one, we have lots of yard space.

Have a great ride, it won't get any better!!!

How far from the ferry is that camp? Also do they allow campfires? I liked the stumbling distance the Goldrush offers but it was way to quiet at 2am.

The government campground is a couple of hundred yards up the road from the ferry and unless there is a territory wide fire ban they have camp fire pits and wood supply. It is an awesome campground with sites right on the river. The ferry runs 24/7 except for crew changes, you could be sobre enough by the time you sit crossing the ferry and a short walk up to your campsite. Coming down the hill on the Top of the World, you pass the main entrance on your left just before the turn at the bottom of the hill for the ferry line.

OK 1200 kids, this one is just for you.
I have received a certificate for a SideWinder stand to be used as D2D swag.
This certificate will be auctioned at Friday night's banquet.
The proceeds from the sale of the stand will be used to purchase photo/posters of this year's D2D Midnight shot. Those pictures will be mailed to the businesses who have donated swag.

This is a great way to add a great piece of farkle to your 1200 AND help us
    "give a little back"

Help me spread the word, and generate some interest.
We'll start the bidding on paper at the banquet ticket purchase table at the Downtown Hotel.
We'll finish the bidding "live " Friday night.
    Highest bid wins the certificate.

    Check it out here.

Sounds like you got it dialed in Fite.

Silent Auction in the conference room at the Downtown Hotel.
Silent Auction continues at the banquet before dinner
Live Auction along with awards after dinner.
    High bidder takes it.

Money raised from the Auction will be used to send copies of the midnight biker gathering PHOTO in front of the Downtown hotel to the various vendors who have supported D2D by donating SWAG to the event.

    Bid high, bid often

    This just in.
Apparently we'll have a few additional riders attending this year's D2D.
Rumor has it that they will be making the trip specifically to compete in the Blindfold competition.

These will be much handier than using cloth napkins from the Downtown dining room.

A huge hug to Mrs. Fighter (the General) for whipping these out.
It's good to see her getting some use out of the thousands of $$$$$ she has wrapped up in machinery.
