. . . . . . did the October Meet/Eat discussion get impeached or folks just burned out from various Octoberfest bashes?

Most of the spots I know if in Oakland don't have food, it is just bar snacks :( great beer though.

We haven't loitered around the Alameda Island Brewing in some time. They've probably forgotten about us by now...
    Food at Monkey King nextdoor.

I don't think Temescal Brewing has food, but it gets my vote for being walking distance lol.
Drake's dealership is a pretty good option. Parking is either a bitch or paid (not an issue) though, just a heads up.

Leaving Saturday morning around 8am (could go up/down 1hr) to do about 350 miles of mixed dirt and some goaty pavement, destined to camp in Comptche. Let me know if you want to come with! It's only $5 for me to add another person.

Sounds good to me. I always like real pub food and beer.

How about next Thursday, the 24th?

I'll be there in spirit. Supposed to pick up the new 1290 outside of Salem the 24th. With any luck during your first beer I'll be having my first beer down in Bend, OR.

Hey any brewpub suggestions for Bend?

Deschutes has a really good tasting room, but I'll inquire from a friend who just retired there as to the best place to eat and drink beer.

Hey Marty - Perfect! LOL - Marty sorry to jerk you around on the adventure - beers on me - my mind was running faster than practicality dictated! Fly and one way car rental was sensible way to go.

Into PDX and then Sublimity the 24th early PM, and I think they have a fair bit of bits for the bike as well. May be expensive:rofl. Goal is to get to Bend PM 24th. Reno the 25th and KTM Reno booked in for 600 mile service the 26th. I'll be ready for a break!

Nugget in Sparks is doing an Oktoberfest the 26th, since they send me free room why not. Weather looks good. If the spirit moves you to head up the 26th let me know by the 24th. Offer earlier still stands gotcha covered.

    I'm really stoked!
