So it appears that the D2D crew agrees that SocialU gets the Trans Alp for the 07 ride.

Now how about a car to take back to college next fall?

Should SocialU get the Audi TT for next school year?

    Yes

    No

Just to keep things under control

My daughter has a Honda XL 100 and will not be driving the Audi TT to school anytime soon.

But SocialU is so cool she deserves the best.

SU can handle herself, but Dad does get veto power (I want that xmas card) and maybe Mrs Legion has a big veto in the matter. Say, does Mrs ride as pillon Legion? My GF had one, and only one, ride on a bike with Helge's side car this summer.
I did not start riding until my daughter was out of high school so I'll have to settle for getting my grand daughter to ride. Well, maybe my daughter will veto that! What is the age limit at Dawson?

    Aloha Gruvers,

Thought I'd tune in and see how y'all are doin. Things are pretty much the same everyday here, you know, 80-85 degrees, sunshine, surf, sand, bikinis, the usual. Pretty boring after a while. Shucks, I miss you guys. :lol3

Actually, I do miss most of your smiley faces, but will catch up with a few of you at the Great Alaska Shootout this Thanksgiving. I'll be in Anchorage for about ten days to catch up on all the D2D planning. Looks like we're going to have a hell of a group next year. I hope to attend, but can't say for sure just yet. May have to get a job, God forbid.

I've been trying on retirement for a few months and so far, I like it mighty fine!:clap :ear :1drink :D  :freaky

I'll bring pics of my ride in the Alps this fall. Two weeks of gorgeous weather in early September. The ST1100 ran great, and I even used my plug kit to get myself out of a jam on the top of a mountain pass. First time I ever used one and it worked great.

Lots of stories to tell. See you in a few weeks.

    You remember correctly.

Remember PC? Rides an LT like his ass is on fire and stormed over the top of the world hwy w/ me the week the hwy opened for the season a couple 3 or 4 years ago? That's him... the guy that fractured his ankle in a mud wave wipe out and still rode out to the nursing station on his own and then back to Anchortown on his own.

He's an electronics guru and has a smoking home theater. He talked to Mike (I think) about setting up the shop for an after hours movie, borrowed Faster from Cephus, and me to provide a few labor units. Fighter brought a bunch of chairs. It all worked out great. Next time you go to TMS I think you can still see the bracket on the far wall; left so that more movies could be shown.

Quite a few people turned out for it and there was an invite posted on the wall at TMS a couple weeks in advance. No charge / movie / pizza / espresso / popcorn / soda / cookies ...even some vege groceries as IIRC as Don ain't a big fan of the meat.

I enjoyed the hell out of it. I assume everybody else did too. :dunno

That's the bike's comfort zone and the place it goes when it's running. :lol3

Since your last service I have learned how to check the fuel level all by my self. I still can't believe I missed that. I must've kicked that bike an easy 100 times, checked the plug, poked around, tossed in another 100 kicks.

I kicked it so many times that eventually I rolled it up next to the front stairs on the house so I could give it another zillion. I woulda swore I checked the fuel first. :bluduh

Reservations are best made ASAP. There is a very limited amount of space available, and yes you can tent it. On the far side of the river (accessible by the free government supplied ferry) is a camp ground. I don't know the cost for camping.
I am glad to see everyone has decided to make the 2007D2D their ride.
