Welcome back Swannie. We been thinking about you. You don't have to make reservations for the "gathering" but unless you're planning on sleeping on your bike.... a call to the Downtown Dawson, Kate's, or ?, would be highly advisable. Can't wait to see you. Have a safe ride and keep us posted on your route and itinery. I'm sure there will be others coming north out of Whitehorse. If you are planning on coming into Anchortown/Matvalley pre-Dawson let us know. I'm sure there will be shelter available somewhere in "Gruverdom".

H-Jay..... welcome. This ride, combined with D2D07 may just change your life. Stay on board for the latest info. Fite

Listen, last week I was dragged to a wine tasting dinner here in Hollywood. I did not want to be there, but when they sat a screen writer and his wife at our table who had two brothers in Alaska I had a change of heart. For the rest of the night we pretty much swapped 'Alaska stories' and somewhere around that 5th or 6th wine I began to miss you guys ... I'm looking forward to it. Besides, I see Barb is going to be there and hopefully I'll get a trip report, or two....

Katoomer! Now I read you're back there. Well, if you'll promise to stay safe and sane, I'll promise to not dump it on the Dempster again. In the mean time, if you need anything PM me.

Thank you, Fighter, I haven't thought that far ahead but it's a very nice offer.
And lastly, if you find yourselves heading to LA, let me know. There are a few bikes in the garage that won't be put up for the winter.....

    Hi my friend!

    How are you?

We all have been thinking of you, and wondering just how long before we would be honored by another visit.

I trust your going to ride here?

If there is anything I can do. Like a place to stay, a home cooked meal, a evening of drinking and being average Alaskans (OK valley guys). Just let me know. I would love to be there, for what ever.

    Counting.........................................................................................

    D. You know my favorite Alaska story? I was in Eagle for four days and the ferry wasn't running and no buses, so the inhabitants reclaimed their town. All except for me. I just hung around and chatted those few days. On the last evening I was in the cafe while they were trying to decide who I looked like, John, a BLM guy had an answer that still brings a smile to my face, he said 'I looked like I belong here.' I really do like that.

I'll look forward to that beer. Yes, to riding. I'm doing fine, thank you, Gus, although I tore some tendons and muscles in my left arm and that's kept me from riding but that'll be good soon.

Fighter, that offer is good for whenever but at the moment there are two oil heads in there that will do nicely. I am thinking of swapping one though for a lighter bike that I can pick up after I crash. Might as well be practical.

I tried to make it last year, as part of my planned trip to the Great White North, but it all fell apart. Put me down as a strong maybe for this year. I overheard my SO telling my brother I was riding to Alaska this next summer. It must be so.

I just talked to the folks at the Downtown Dawson Hotel, they have about 50 rooms available for the nights June 21st & 22nd.

The Fast Eddies/Youngs Hotel in Tok is booked up for the night of June 20th.

    That is all.

    Griz... just say the word.
An official Team Pterodactyl gathering made even more "official" by a guest appearance from none other than the grand pubaw himself. Holy shitstain!
I'm not sure Dawson is big enough!!!!!

WDog, there is an RV park 3 short blocks away. Just behind Klondike Kate's. There are usually a few bikers/tents set up there. If you need the name of the business I'll dig for it.
