Thanks for sharing this ...Amazing really ....
Guys... some plans for this summer?
Cristian / Bob
Yes, it is our purpose, it is Northern Urals, Manpupunyor:
it took me 2 days to read and watch everything of your adventure and here at the end I can´t leave it without a message, cause the special writing and the raw video (whithout stupid music) really let me get near to your exceptionel fellowship!
It is good to know, that you all returned healthy for what I have seen, it sometimes was really dangerous and risky, I nearlly can´t believe that in some situations the group was blown up by individual conflicts or by different evaluation of taking risks in the middle of nowhere.
While watching the coolness of takin big rocks in the last videos I thought these guy can go to Romaniacs or Erzberg and just win it! they can not even ride a motorcycle, they have just balls!
So big Thx for all the work you spent on documenting here andkeep your strength and humor for all future plans!
greetings from germany by Eddy
..and of course a question: Where did you get your maps from (old school paper and garmin gps) and how did you have sufficent information about getting petrol and water?
Pate does a lot of investigations before our trips.
He use SASPlanet programm (PC) that allows to switch very quickly between many map sources on the web to make reliable tracks.
We check gas stations locations and their status with locals' help and actual travel reports.
Official Garmin maps are good. The current version is - City Navigator Russia 2015.30 - Navicom
And yes, we have Old school paper maps as well. It is really funny in Mongolia to see their very dense road map.
Absolutely fantastic and inspiring journey guys/cosmonauts! Thanks for posting all the amazing footage and photos...just incredible :eek1
I discovered your RR a bit late, but I hope you still maybe able to answer a couple of questions...how did the XRs of Space Trooper, Che and Amir? stand up to the prolonged abuse of low earth orbit? Would they prefer other bikes for this type of trip?
Again, thanks for the RR...amazing.
You can see that we use all possible bikes. And we do break all of them. There is no perfect bike.
XR650L is cheap in use and it is very simple that means less service. And it drives like shit in rally raid conditions.
KTM 690A is the most efficient bike. It makes most fun (too much for me for a heavy loaded bike). But it requires more attention and service.
950 is strong and comfortable, but very heavy.
If I had enough money and place in my garage I would use Colebatch's X-Ch. WP/KTM suspension and Rotax/BMW engine. But again we broke Colebatch's bike as well
Fantastic report and adventure guys. You are hardcore and artistic.
Looking forward to you guys next adventure!!!
Just an awesome and inspiring feat. The videos are really good at giving us some hint as to just how tough this whole trip was, as well as how your comradeship helped overcome all the difficulties. Plus, you boys sure can ride a bit
Awesome trip! How did I miss this trip at the beginning?
Hard to imagine the internal drive needed to take bikes over those tracks. Congratulations to each of the team for your accomplishments. Can't wait to see the Dyatlov Pass.
That would be this year
Is it possible to use the same route with bikes as the group in 1959.?
Want a tons of pics and vids from the place where Dyatlov group was 56 years ago
P.S. This is only what I can find on YT, I hope there will be more from you,
Enduro Trip to Dyatlov Pass & Man Pupu Ner, Ural, Russia
That would be in a month!
Yes, we'll try to do the same route, same camping place
The video is probably the only one. I hope to shoot more.
Guys are gonna use big bikes so that will be real fun
Sooooo great report, amazing people and offroad scenery. Thank you guys for making this trip and sharing this.
Hey Guys, but there aren't anymore the images with the tracks!
sad about that..
