Thought I would bring this thread back to life...
I live in Stark County west of Massillon. Currently riding an African Twin that I love testing its offroad abilities on. Came from Tenere, VStrom, BMW and a bunch of dirty bikes. Racing/dual sport days are over, but I like doing the gravel / fire road thing and just getting off the beaten path exploring new territory.
If all I have is a single day or evening I head for Amish Country (Holmes and surrounding County's). Weekend trips are usually farther South in the Athens/Marietta area. If I have 3 or 4 days I head to Almost Heaven, WV.

Stumbled on this via Google search. Licking County and I ride a KTM 1090 R. I ride mostly south and east of me and have recently found a bunch of gravel road GPX tracks and also have ridden in Wayne. I've ridden all types of roads but lately I can't get enough of off road and gravel / unmaintained roads.

I would ride a 2-3 hours to get to a good spot.

Ride wherever time allows, SE Ohio is at least an annual favorite.

Bikes, very conflicted! KTM 890 Adventure R, KTM 500 EXC, HD CVO Limited, HD w/ Liberty Side car for Sunday ice cream with the wife and dog and Smax Scooter for Saturday am coffee.
Ride whenever possible but not enough, still a working stiff. (need to support my habits) Have done MABDR, AZBDR & IDBDR, great fun. I like the GLDS group up north. SE Ohio a favorite street or off road. Really look forward to more ADV rides on the 890, fewer cell phones worry about!
Looking for riding partners close by, seems the old school buddies have other interests.
    Have toyhauler, will travel

Probably adding a KTM390A very soon.

    H2 hunts on anything paved
    Voyager gets ice cream
WR breaks a few rules locally and breaks parts at H&M.
GPZ is in resto, long ago it taught a young man lessons in mortality.

It would be nice to connect with some other local riders. My childhood partner in crime gave up pavement long ago. We still do H&M frequently, but that’s the only time I get to ride with someone.

Was supposed to be going the Dragon this weekend with a friend who rides HD, but a childhood friends mom died yesterday so I’m a no go.
A real bummer because we would have been the quintessential “odd couple”. HD bagger and a ninja bagger would have made for some contrast.

There’s always MC12 in the freezer and usually cold beer (if everyone didn’t drink it all) in the fridge.
If you are in the neighborhood, riding through or looking for something to ride in the area, shoot me a pm.

Have a well equipped shop (lifts, tools, tig welding, 3D printer) happy to help a fellow rider in need.
