I'd be seriously tempted but not at this distance. I've had those bags on a different bike and always liked the look of the fairing. Only seen one in real life. And the bike is a standard and not one of the zillions of cruisers Honda also made. It would be a shame if the bobber crowd got it. Thanks for the info.

Y'know, you can post that ad in the Craig's Thread in the Old's Cool forum and maybe that bike will find the right buyer.

We should start a Save The Stockers campaign, or maybe Save The Tastefully Modified And Accessorized Stockers.

It's a Honda CX500, not a Vincent. Let it get cut up

Nice bike. One of these popped up on Craigslist for $1,100 with the OEM side cases and it was awfully tempting to bring it home as a sidekick for my GSX1100G.

Never a real fan of the CX's, but that full faired one with the hard bags makes it a plausible bike - more so a drunken Sawzall fest.

Did 1500KM on this last week, just nice to ride.

The Brockhouse "Indian Brave" side-valve 250 might have been a crap-tastic motorcycle, functionally speaking, but it's really nice to look at, in both hardtail and swingarm form.

    Edit.

It is an Eastern Wheel Works or Eastern Cycle Works from about 1898-1900 or so. The motor might have been made by Steffey. Any info wold be very helpful.

I finally put the new seat cover on my CB550, the PO put a white one on it, now I need to get the paint done and she will be all finished.

Oh I cringed at the white seat... WHY? Thank you for bringing it closer to its true self.

C'mon man, variety is the spice of life! It (the white cover) kinda reminds me of an AFC Harley of that era, whatever that means.

I felt the same way, Why?? The PO had a classic Mach 1 that was blue with white seats, I think he wanted his 2 babies to match. It looks so much better with the black seat, I cannot wait until I can get the Sunburst Orange back on it, that is my favorite color of all the vintage Hondas.

The only bike a white seat is appropriate for is an all-white Honda Dream. Preferably with whitewalls.
