I know, huh. A picture would have been nice!
Ok. I scratch built the racks for these bags. I even pulled the shock off to fully cycle the wheel to make sure everything clears. I've got 45,000 miles on it like this without any issues.
Yeah, that's full stuff. I don't think I've bottomed out a bike that hard since I jumped the railroad tracks on a stock 1985 DR200.
I worked the mangled part out and just tied it out of the way.
Look at this stupid suit.
he said "mangled"
Slap some lard of it you'll be fine....
Up through the valley...
Made my way to Furnace Creek. Bought duct tape and a t-shirt for my wife.
I couldn't get my cell phone to work until Big Pine. Should have gone south first thing this morning...chain controls on my cross back highway...hwy 88.
I turned a 450 mile day into 650 miles, glad to have heated grips, heated jacket liner, Storm Industries hand covers and cruise control. 395 south to 178, 99 north towards home.
Mangled pretty good, might just fab up a new one.
Thanks for reading!!
Nice wardrobe malfunction save with the duct tape!
Most excellent, as usual. I hate mice. While backpacking last year in WA, I had one chew through my tent and backpack pocket as well as others running rampant all over the tent. Didn’t sleep worth shit.
I’ve got the itch for an extended desert ride. Thank you, larryboy.
Always good to read about your adventures in DV, mice and all.
Thanks again for brining us along. As always, great pics and stories.
