We had several 125 twins running around when I worked at the local Yamaha shop in the late sixties. Nice, smooth running , peppy (15 horsepower) little machine that was a blast to tool around on. Wouldn't mind having one , myself.
Could be yours easier than you think!!
I picked up a Suzuki GSXR project and it came with these carbs I don’t need. Some are complete, some are just bodies. If any are useful to anyone out there let me know. How about $20 for the first one (to cover freight) and $10 for each additional.
'76 Yamaha TT500 first year. 9 out of 10. New Metzlers, fresh piston, rings, valve guide seals. Very low hours. Starts easily, original shocks in great shape, original sprockets in great shape, aluminum tank has no dents, paint is immaculate. Missing the stock silencer and airbox. $4200/trades considered for vintage European bikes. Bill of sale. Located in western NY. Can bring to York PA swapmeet in January.
9 out of 10 what?
Izzat what TT500's go for now? Man, I shoulda held on to my '78...
10 being museum quality. When do you see an extremely low hour '70's bike anywhere? Especially the YZF's grandpa?
it looks good, maybe a 7
In my garage until a coupla years ago. I won't say what I sold mine for.
I have all this stuff listed in the regular flea market... but I realized today... first and second gen GSXRs are old school now
As I work through my massive parts pile, I post more stuff.
Okay, I need the space. 3 fit in a medium flat rate box... $20 pick any 3. I have parts to ship out next week. They will ship Monday or Tuesday
I love a mystery as much as the next guy....Photo of bike with you on it or it never existed....
Oh, it existed friend...
Touche! Looks very nice and looks like a recent photo...So what was the selling price?
Like I said before... Out of respect for the member selling his just a few posts above I'll keep that to myself. Too little I suspect.
I enjoyed/ cursed one of those for about a year.
Built by an inmate who was also a Kedo distributor for a time.
It was wicked fast and cantankerous to start. YZ490 front end, aluminum tank, tons of work done.
I kept imagining myself dying of heart attack trying to start the MF. But once you had it down it was fine....until it was not.
Sold for Mid 3000 when it went. I know the guy who bought it wants to sell. No idea how much. He added a Plastic tank and kept the aluminum one. PM me if you want one. Virginia.
Now I have two E start bikes.....and of course now I worry about running out of battery in the woods and dying of a heart attack pushing it out.
