I have no idea when I will get time on these, but between the new workshop build, the Vespa, and now the Bergman and the R1100RS, it will take a while.

    Pick-up photo, more tomorrow.

It came with the side panels and nice panniers, color matched. Only 31K miles, but probably had miles.

Hard to argue with free though.

Sometimes free cost you a lot of money but it's a decent starting point :-)

Truth. My last project cost $750 going in, but was in worse "looking" shape. Time will tell.

    Last project before and after.

Nice grab!! I am intimately familiar with the 94 RS, owned mine since Oct 94 when I bought an early 94 with 3k on it. The original owner found it didn't fit him and sold it cheap ($10K) with lots of goodies. Mine now has 190K on it with more than 95% of the service, repairs and mods done by myself. Its been reliable as a rock. The cable operated dry clutch, properly set up works very well. It would have well over 200K on it if I had not found a cosmetic crashed 07 R1200RT for only $3500 with less than 6K on it.

If you run into any snags on the RS let me know, I'm certain I've worked on whatever you run into on it.

Properly set up the RS is really a great, underrated bike for everything from commuting, twisties and long haul touring.

I had a 94 RS for about 1.5 years, and 35K miles. Awesome bike, and fun to ride.

It is very rough, and may get parted out if the motor is shot. The R1100RS looks pretty good though.

Sometimes (always), free isn't free. No complaining, it should be fun. I took a few more photos of it today. The motor is free, and the paint cleans up. I may not even have to paint it.

Here are a few photos. It will remain mainly untouched until after I finish my garage extension, and finish the Vespa.

Low miles, and despite the moldy bodywork and ruined seat, it is in decent shape.
