Just curious - looked at their site and did not see it - how much did the special tool run you?

Busy day today. None of it scooter related for a change.

The day started with the white stuff.

    ok8uxl-10.weather.kalfus.0123-1.jpg

    At the beach.

    Umm.... NO!

Then the mail came. Coupon code for the Long Beach IMS show. $3 off with IMS20POST online.

Boo! I already bought one. Hope somebody else can take advantage of it.

Then we found some tile (after a year of casually looking) that's acceptable to both parties for the fireplace. It will be super-cheap. Score!

    More on this development later.

Day ended with a friends b-day and she decided to splurge.

    Polar opposite of cheap tile.

Sometimes it's good to be friends with the queen!

    Behold!

    IMG_20191104_182908900.jpg

    My first JEN-U-WINE factory tool.

    It goes thusly:

    IMG_20191104_183001376.jpg

(ahem) as always, Mise en place.

    IMG_20191104_184252750.jpg

    Then ya line it up

    IMG_20191104_184732991.jpg

And it gets 'er done easy-peasy.

I wish just a *few* things in life went that smoothly.

Once again, having the right tool makes a job easy. But it still pi**es me off that I have to pay a premium to a manufacturer for that right tool.

Only a few electrical connections left.

Last one was one of the two ground ring bolts.

    Drumroll....

    The Pink Princess LIVES!

All the rattling almost gave me a heart attack. :-)

It's just the lift letting me know that it's not built to high tolerances.

Need another night to clear out enough space to roll it off the lift and get a better feel for how it went.

Lol. It was never a question of it not starting. I'm pretty confident in my abilities to slap together one of these engines with few, if any parts left over.

The real question is how reliable is it going to be? Time will tell. Hopefully this weekend. I've got tiling and garage clearing out to do before I can focus on that.

Still mostly impressed with the SMax for daily commuting, btw. Well, the engine at least. The ergos still suck for me.

If it only had a few more HP to go slightly above 70 I'd be a lot happier with it. Still on the fence about it for the SCBR.

With an inmate name of "GotMojo" and a pink scooter called "OMG!!! Ponies!!!" there can be only one logical choice for the SCBR. Leave the snoozemax at home.

Should be as reliable as the day it was built. What could go wrong?:D

Any monies left in the budget to hop up the Smax a little?

With your skills you should try and put the BBK on the Smax, think it makes it 180 or 185 cc ,that would make her go better, and since I have an smax I would be interested in your build, and colorful comments.

It takes a while to trust projects. I spend lots of time looking for leaks and loose bolts, wires hanging in hot things, etc. Let's face facts, I've screwed up enough times to know vigilance pays off. Mostly, there are things I put together loosely so I could go back and get it all lined up right, and then overlooked tightening the bolts all the way.

You have to run the pink scooter.

Don’t forget to put the oil fill cap back on.

    And screw it in tight.
