It's been a busy summer on the wildlife front.

Caught #4. I think there's one left from this pack still lingering around.

The magic sauce is peanut butter in the live trap.

They avoid all the other traps and bait for some reason.

And yes, I verified it on the action-cam.

They sniff but won't enter the Tunnel of no return.

...and #5 also can't resist the sweet, sweet taste of organic peanut butter.

More activity on the AC front this weekend.

Lines evacuation was not without mishap. I had initially panicked because the pump & gauge didn't seem to have the right fittings.

It turned out that I was stoopid and had them backwards. I only discovered this after schlepping down to Harbor Freight and picking up their manifold set. :fpalm

Great success! Well, sorta. It works but one of the units is leaking water in the house like crazy.

Somebody screwed up the consensate line. :becca

Oh well, .500 is hall of fame material in MLB, right?

You seem to have an awful lot of 'varmints'. You sure you're not getting the same one over and over? I deal with mine like this....:2guns

If it was me (and it's not, so what the hell am I saying this for?) I'd stuff that hole in your penetration shot with a stainless steel wool scrub pad. I get them at a hardware store. Nothing much will get through them.

Good idea but a better idea is to use copper wool. Even though stainless steel should not rust, it will, leaving a brown streak down the wall. Guess how I know? You can get copper wool on Amazon if your local hardware doesn’t have it.

Yeah, copper wool or brass so you won’t have to worry about rust.

I guess I'm lucky I haven't had that problem using stainless, but from now on it's copper or brass. No point in taking chances. Learn something every day.

You want to stuff what in my hole? :smooch

I need to rework the drainage on that one. Unfortunately I had to make the connections inside and there are sections of the drain pipe that are not insulated. Since the slope is minimal, it's collecting, condensing and dripping water all over.

Thanks for the copper wool tip. The kit comes with plasticine that seals it up nicely but adding some wool can't hurt.

Maybe some foam pipe insulation on the tube, if it can fit?
