ok, here's one for ya from Loreto BCS 2017
Good friend just came up through Loreto this week, almost made it through town on hwy 1.
Towards north end of town, armed military staff step out into the highway, signal her to stop.
Rolls down window, mil guy asks her if she can take some tortillas up the road to the mil checkpoint, north of Loreto. Of course, she says "Si!" They are the military after all.
The mil guys bring out this HUGE pile of tortillas, I mean like a quarter of a pallet load of tortillas to stuff in her van that is already loaded with campo gear, 3 dogs and a cat. They jamb the tortillas in the van and she's on her way north!
Stops at the checkpoint, tells them "I have your tortillas!" which they happily unload, then wave her through on her way north.
This does not happen NOB!
Good thing those 3 dogs weren't hungry!
I love hearing stories like that, I call it the Ahhh of Mexico...

Heh heh. Mind if I share this photo--with attribution to you, of course?
Left Durango at 6:00am yesterday. Transferred the bike to the trailer at Nvo. Laredo airport at 2:00pm. Drove up to Colombia Bridge and cleared the Border around 3:30pm
