Alright that's three that are planning to ride together from Waterloo. Just spoke with EmmEff tonight, he's in Newmarket and would like to hook up with us on the way down. We'll just pick a convenient meeting point.

A group is planning a joint Burrito/Fajita dinner Saturday night and wants $15.75 before June 5 to participate. I'm inclined to go in with them on this one thing. Comments? Friday night and breakfasts we'll be on our own. I'm thinking restaruant Friday and camp breakfasts Sat & Sun...we can pitch together or individual...whichever...buy the food after we get to PA though.

I plan on leaving reasonably early on Friday morning.........

The plan for food sounds good. The less effort, the better :)

Sounds good on the Saturday nite feed, probably ok for a veggie guy like me to go with? Where do we sign up?

I'm good to go early Friday Morning

Lets get a list of things to share so we don't bring two of each.
eg, I now have a spare belt, clutch and throttle cables, no need to bring two spare drive belts and tools:eek1

Same goes for the camping equipment, pots, coffee etc.

I agree on buying supplies down there.

Suggested place to meet up with EmmEff, Hwy 6 and Hwy 5 Tim Hortens, Hamilton

A direct route would give us travel time of about 5 hours

I'd like to take a direct route until were in the US and then back roads from there, that would extend the ride to about 7-8 hours, what do you guys think about that?

I think you're on the right track, why don't you post the .gpx file so everyone can take a look and tweak it.

I'm cool on pooling the cooking stuff.......I like to be somewhat self-sufficient with bike supplies though :D

On the right track ha ha, I'll do a little tweaking myself before I post it up.

How about I bring the stuff to make coffee, (very important to me) single burner, fuel bottle, pot, and bodem.

So are you gonna bring a spare drive belt?

Im in Williamsport Pa tonight. I may try going home that way tomorrow. It looks like there is lots of gravel running that way. I'll see what I find.

Here's a route that Witness has proposed. Please comment. It will be tweaked some with the final one sent out/posted the week before the trip.

Included in the route is an Obligatory stop for Pete & I to take a double at our favorite welcome sign :thumb And Mike...If you can find a town in the area named "F800GS", we'll stop there too :lol3

    Sounds good.

Yep, I always take a belt and clutch cable when I tour. I need to pick up a new throttle cable too. Fits in a side case without taking too much room.

Thanks for posting that up Scott, the revised version doesn't stop in Ulysses :deal although we can change that or hit it on the way home.

Heres what the route (that you posted the file up for) looks like.

I sent a quick question to the oxyoke and this was the reply

You don't need to pre book to tent. When you get here come up to the restaurant & we'll get you checked in. With the size of your group we are letting tenters set up all around, you won't have private fire rings but will have access to the shower house. see you then

Bjorn and I did the BYOB a few years back when it was at the Oxyoke, you'll find most of the crew have set up their tents up by the cabins and parking lot, sort of party central. If you want a lil quiet, head down the hill by the river (you can ride down) can there are some sweet spots to set up camp.

    Have fun...
