?

WHICH ROUTE WOULD YOU LIKE?

  1. GTA to ELLICOTTVILLE NEW YORK - 2 day trip - (250km/day)

  2. Start in Kelso (near Milton), ride around wine country, lunch at a winery (1 day trip)

  3. Ol' Faithful: Belfountain via Hockley to Creemore, lunch at Old Mill (1 Day trip)

  4. Screw this.... here's my idea.... (post it in the thread!)

Sorry for the late post just got in... here's hoping yooze guys read it before you leave in the morning. I'll post it on GTA too.

Ok fellas, Arthduro's suggestion was somehow lost in the fog of war. Here's what I'm doing tomorrow: I'm bringing a filthy sack. In said filthy sack, I'm tossing in $10. I'm going to wander about the group looking for a bit of cash to throw in- whatever you feel like. Maybe consider half of whatever you were going to stuff in the Red Bull Tout's G-string or something. Sleep on it.

Then I'm going to grab the closest guy in the group that I don't really know well, we're going to count it together and then skip over to the Library and donate it on behalf of the ON ADV, whatever that means.

Beware the imposters. If the sack ain't filthy, it ain't me.
Wow. If I had a nickel for everytime that's come up in conversation....

From what I have read so far it looks like it will be some road and some gravel roads, nothing too hazardous.
I am sure we will be breaking up into various groups based on what type of riding everyone is looking for.
I am sure it will be a great day of Adventuring.

I'm sure there is a nice comfy route for 2 ups. There will be plenty of maps and gps in Belfountain. Good chance there's another couple headed your way.

Now you guys know why I ride by myself all the time.

    No drama, just riding.

With all this shit (and I'm not talking just this little tiff), and a future of it on the horizon, my offer to guide group rides is rescinded.

Anyone wants to just go for a fucking ride, drop me a line, happy to go for a tear.

But this organized shit ain't gonna happen.

I think you guys forgot about just going for a ride.

My humble suggestion is that you try it. Just mount up, no destination, and just wander. Enjoy the act of twisting the throttle, leaning into a curve, the sensation of it.

    Works for me. :dunno

I use a variation of that: I wander, but I keep an eye on the GPS, because I'll see a road over there that I didn't know was there, and looks interesting.

Found some great stuff and some scary shit that way. :lol3

I do the same thing every now and then. I turn on the gps, and zoom it out enough so that I can see the surrounding roads and connections, and then I wander around in any direction that seems interesting. Not an overly productive ride, but a fun way to waste a couple of hours.
