    G'day

Been checking out Bon Echo area. Snowmobile, logging, hydro last couple of rides.
Looking for someone else to head up that way and check things out.

Don't really care if it's pavement, gravel or single track. Long as I am getting our where I haven't been before or hitting some favourite areas from past rides.

Riding a DR650 out of Belleville but can meet up anywhere. Skill level unimportant as long as your safe.

    Send a PM if interested.

You should hit up the Weslemkoon Trail ride this weekend. That is prime Bon Echo riding. The area west of Bon Echo in and around Weslemkoon is an off-raod riding paradise. Backroad Mapbooks is also your friend... :deal
If you want to have a blast with a bunch of other like minded fools, you can check out Rally Connex Rock Hound Rally that will be held in the same area.

Thanks Jbone. That's where I am riding now.

Typically can spend the whole day and not see a soul.

Checked out the Rally, kinda like riding for free for now. Just looking for one or two like minded persons to explore and have a laugh with.

Do you need a permit to ride those dirt roads in that area?

Hey ststrider, hope all is good. Out last weekend and saw but didn't check out the partridge lake loop off of Mayo rd. but think we should.

Also tried the airport run before that. Came to large stretch of water with guys riding jacked up side by sides on the other side. Apparently they almost lost one and had to back up. Don't go that way. Or if u do send some pics.

Yeah the north end of the airstrip is nasty, on holidays next two weeks heading north but we'll have to get out when I get back.

I plan to be riding in the area this Sunday Sept 1. I'll be going by Trudy's (Hwy 62 and Steenberg Lake Road North) in the a.m. and will be doing a loop from there.

I might be heading up that way on Saturday the 6th to do Old Hastings Rd and one other one I can't think of the name of. Anything else I should look for? Preferably dirt. Will be meeting a friend in the Peterborough area and head over from there. I have not signed up for the OFTR yet...really need to get on that.

A nice loop might be Old Hastings Road to Weslemkoon Lake Road to Hughes Landing Road then south on 41 to pickup the Lingham Lake Hydro road, which brings you back to 62. I'm assuming you're on a big bike.

Thanks, turns out we will be out on Sunday now, will look at doing that then. Yeah, I will be on my S10 and my buddy on his 1200 Tiger. That being said we will both be on our 50/50 tires. Just got back from Colorado doing some mountain passes like Cumberland, Boreas etc.
