My thanks as well. In my other riding group I am never the almost smallest bike present, (or the oldest rider!) - but the Road Glide doesn't take kindly to mud and loose gravel. I broke away somewhere in the boonies north of Orangeville to get gas, turned on reserve just before Singhampton. Too bad there are no cool windshield options for the EXC!

Uber, had a great time on the ride but I was riding 2up and couldn't follow.Monica had a great time also.
I must say that I'm a big fan of the TCK's :thumb.

    Monica:
" Just want to thank you guys for a wonderfull ride, nice meal and a good conversation. It was a nice way to spend my b'day! Thanks!!! "

P.S. Monica and I hope you get your boots clean in time for your next ride, Kahoon....

Thanks Uber for making this whole thing happen, I had an awesome day.
That was my first real break-in ride for the new KLR, the poor bike didn't know what it was getting into (niether did I [IMG] ).

Thanks Dave for the ice covered twisty route up to Belfountain, it gave me a good heads up for the rest of the day. Nothing like a 12 hour spring kick off ride. Dave..I looked at both you and the bike lying on the road, and figured I had a better chance of picking up the bike, nothing personal [IMG]. I hope yur ribs are OK.

I had a blast riding with y'all, and will definitely try to get to the next one.

Thanks Uber. You mapped a great route and judging by all the smiling faces at Belfountain you picked the right day. What beautiful weather. :clap

Thanks Willy for the pointer on resetting the 276 after it's winter hibernation. I've never heard of that issue before. I would have shipped the puppy off to Garmin if I hadn't met you. Kudos and thanks again.

Rui, Richard, Patttman, Philippe... wasn't there another? Sorry I lost you after the u-turn. No confusion there eh? :lol3 We'll have to try that again but with fewer closed gas stations, no parking of the new GS on it's side and a better thought out plan of where the heck we're going. :rofl

Kahoon, Hans, Ridemuch, Monica and Mike, it's always a pleasure to ride with you all. Even more so to enjoy a nice meal and talk conspiracy theories. I now have the strange feeling that I'm being followed... :huh

All in all a brilliant way to start the season. :clap :clap :clap

    Cheers

    Fak that was fun:clap

Met Alex (aka adiablolex) just before 8am up on some side road and we ripped our way across the top following the damn Kings concession/sideroad mix towards the escarpment. Man I wish we had the road system like New England where roads follow the contours of the land versus this go forsaken grid system that blemishes our great land, but I digress....

So after practicing power slides for an hour we hit the forks road at 9am. The shade sectiosn are frikken ICE, even going straight over that fresh tarmac that has frozen over night is an ass pucking exercise in "just point the fukker" We make it up the the Belfountain store, park out back, intend to grab a coffee and guess what.... the place is bust....shit.... but I smell coffee.....hmmm coming from across the street. :1drink

So over we wander, and what a surprise, great coffee and this lil twenty sumpt'n natyral redhead with these big green eyes...that's it I'm thinking...the rides over and I'm going to park my ass right here and spend $50 on expresso shots. But alas the big kaboom was calling so off we ride. Since the crew was still hours away we decide to look for some snow roads (lots of em yesterday). I figure the backside of the Grange Road should be a challenge...and it is. We stop at the base and I'm thinking, if we get stuck half way up, coming down will be one hell of a biatch. Alex chimes in "Hey, it looks like my driveway!"

    Here is Alex's drive :lol3

    http://www.advrider.com/forums/showpost.php?p=6689198&postcount=157

Now picture that, with a winters worth of unplowed snow and a 20 degree angle upwards. What the fuck, we goose it. No being Canadian has it's advantages, you see, when your a lil tyke, you get these boards strapped to your feet. They be called skis. So out go the outriggers and we paddle, our way up this mother only to pop out the top with a nice big shit eat'n grin:D :D :D

After some tool'n around we find ourselves back that the store and we find this.... a fucken poser convention if I ever saw one:lol3 :lol3 :lol3 You ever see so many clean "Adventure Riders" :rofl

So like a bunch of ducks following the lead goose off we go. Not 10 minutes in, one wing of the flock is off in that direction and the other is heading thataway:huh

Me be tink'n this ain't gonna work. Dem damn gee'pee'eess are only as good as the programer so we be fukkered:jjen Plus, Orangeville is just over the next hill and if there's anything worse than small town Ontario on a Saturday, it's small town Ontario on a Saturday. It's the day when the old age homes gives the keys to the patrons. Yepp, this spells trouble.

A few of us hang a quick right and split from the Gang (or was it a pack:wink:) This is good, we are South of the Hockley Valley and there's all sorts of good dirt to get us up to the beer factory, aka Creemore. That part of the day sort of went like this 1,2, 3, 4, 5....brake, brake, brake, turn, slide brap, brap, roost, 1,2,3,4,5....brake, brake, brake, turn, slide brap, brap, roost, 1,2,3,4,5....brake, brake, brake, turn, slide brap, brap, roost, 1,2,3,4,5....brake, brake, brake, turn, slide brap, brap, roost, 1,2,3,4,5.... pot holed roads sure are sweet at a buck sumpt'n:ricky

We come around this one intersection and find these buggers...

Now I know where close to Creemore and I'm getting a hunger on for a big burger.

We pull in and frig, there is only one other bike:knary And it's our fellow Paris to Dacre rider Jason on his 950 with his lovely SO:sweeti We do a brew or two, gobble some burnt animal flesh and head out. Us be wondering what happen to the other 50% of the riders.

On the way to Borden Alex and I split off again looking for dirt. We didn't find much but took a break to take in the day.

Can you believe what a friggin day it was, man that was a long winter. We park in the woods and soak it up....

    adiabololex says hi...

We did a lil tour through Borden looking for our posse and I guess we were like a half hour behind so we only found tanks and planes. It was now getting on so we grabbed a coffee and split off towards home..

Did I mention what great day that was? yeppp sure was

A big thanks for Ubber for pulling the crew together, I appreciate that. It was great to see everyone again and all the new faces as well. Make sure you come out lots and get you asses over to the OntarioRider thread and sling some shit:evil

Till then, ride fast, ride hard, ride safe, but most of all, just ride...

No worries Fin...after seeing the size of the group I was pretty sure we'd get split up. Hell, seeing as that was the first time my junk saw dirt I was pretty happy. I guess I should have got some TKCs instead of the Tourances I had put on last Saturday.:D

First big ride of the season and couldn't pick a better day or crowd to pose with. :thumb

Kudos to Uber :hair (AKA drift and drop:evil ) for making God let us ride on a super nice sunny day.
I would also like to thank Rummy for the super duper extended tour of everything dirt from here to Belfountain and beyond, that kicked some serious ass.:bow One of these days I'll leave my vagina home and try those super power slides with my brand new half worn Kings without getting hemorhoids from puckering so hard :eek1

It's such a great feeling to meet so many different characters with the same terminal illness as myself, till next time yall.

Keep the dirty side down, Cheers

PS I forgot to mention that little number with the big floatation devices that was serving our lunches in Creemore.........somebody surely took a picture or two of her, come on let's see them :evil

The Muddy GS was probably me. I stopped at the Timmy's there for a Coffee before heading home right around that time. I was at Sunset Corners for 10 and waited a while but must have missed everyone somehow. Took off to Kincardine after that and found my way home through the Saugeen Bluffs by Durham and then home. Around 820kms. :D Great day for sure.:clap

Thanks for planning a fun ride Uber!

Here are a few of my shots from the day. I rode up from Windsor on the Friday night to visit with Fin and get a fresh start Saturday morning. Thanks very much Fin for the hospitality and enjoyable evening!

So was the Toronto Bike Show indoors or outdoors on Saturday?:

I've got to get me some of those TKC80s! By the time I got back to Windsor Saturday night the rear K750 on my KLR was a few Kilometers away from pushing up the daisies!:

As it's been said many times, what a great turn out for an early April ride!:

Thanks again Uber for making this happen, it was nice to meet some new people and experience some really great roads. I'm always up for a ride!
