Oooo...NetMD player is out..

    Ok, I don't know the details of the unit. But it appears that the Sony NetMD minidisc player hit the market. $230 was the one price I saw.

    What the promise of this is...MD's cheap, small, rewriteable media that you can *finally* write to directly from your PC at up to 32x (their claim).

    Sez it supports ATRAC3 (normal MD format), and possibly WAV, WMA, and MP3. 5 hours of music per disc at the max compression rate.

    Looks like Sony is being a PITA with regards to copy protection tho. And why the fuck wasn't this out...oh...years ago?
