Lady Draco and Highbinder knew that guy that built the boat inside the house, they used to own a farm near there.

Took a ride over Max Patch Rd yesterday. I did not stop at the Max Patch area as I had a pretty long day's ride anyway.

    Some views:

Off Roundtop Mtn (the TN side of the route).

Really great pictures and story. I'd like to hear more about the boat house. Very interesting.

Did a little tag chasing this week. These are while going to a waterfall that may be called Twin Falls, or something else... In the Eastatoe community a short way west of US 178.

Mountain rhododendron hang over a river, East Fork Rd & Glady Fork Rd

On the short hike from the parking area to the falls. Tree growing in (out?) of a rock

    A memorial, the sign says

Tree rather recently struck by lightning. It was 3 - 3 1/2 ft in diameter!

Went up to the Devil's Courthouse and actually walked to the top! Signage says the walk is '20 minutes' or '1/2 mile'. Seemed a little optimistic to me and the walk is uphill. Great view from the top.

Stopped off at Poinsett Bridge on the way.

The bare rock on the knob on the right is where I'm headed. Taken from NC 215, just below intersection with the BRP.

The rock side of the road is visible in a later shot from the top.

View from parking area. You can (sort of) see people on the lookout.

Some views from the lookout. There were four of these 'locators' up there, pointing to different mountains.

A family from Savannah had hiked up at the same time, the dad insisted on taking my picture......sigh.

Turns out he was an artist.

Couple of pics of the waterfall on Cascade Lake Rd.

    Great photos, Loren!

It has been too long since we have ridden together. Am getting close to having the house to my wife's liking after the move and I'm also close to completing the setup of my new ride.

I should be back in action soon and will give you a call.

Very nice photos, Loren! That route included a just the right mix of twisty pavement and fire roads. Good company and good fun added in made for a great day of riding! Thanks for leading the ride.
