I am sorry to hear of your loss.
Last year I lost Luna to cancer and she was only 7 years old.

After much searching I have finally found my next partner in crime.
    She comes home this Sunday.

I hope we have 1/5 of the adventures you had with Baylor.

Her name is Aviva (Hebrew for Innocence/Springtime)

Very sorry for your loss. Baylor was very obviously so much more than your dog. Like they do for so many of us, he found his way into your heart and became a travel companion, confidant, therapist, friend and so much more.
My sincerest condolences go out to you.

    Mallory,
Baylor led the life of dreams because it was shared with you, I doubt there was a happier pet in the world.
We will all treasure the memories that you both gave us.

Condolences to you at this sad time.

    Steve and Jake.

Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Like many others, I have followed your posts here and on Facebook, and enjoyed them greatly. Often, I have been a bit envious of Baylor's travels, and think you have given your best friend a wonderful, beautiful life, and it was well lived. Thank you for sharing your time and experiences with Baylor. Good luck, and Godspeed to both of you.

    Odd I saw this today.
Yesterday our 13-something year old Border Collie couldn't stand up. His hind legs and hips have been getting worse for a year or so now. And now he can't stand himself up. It probably won't be long now.
Baylor did the best thing for you by not putting it on you to have to decide to put him down - or wait - for how long?
    It's tough.

It's the pits when that happens.

I hope the thousands of memories you have will make the burden lighter.

Mallory, I am so sorry to read your beautiful obituary for Baylor. It made me tear up. We lost the dog of a lifetime 8 years ago and it still hurts. We have had many dogs, but a few are really special and Baylor was one of those. You are pretty special too and your writing and adventure spirit is wonderful. Hope you find a new companion soon, but maybe not too soon.
This was Lobo in Ruidoso, she loved the stick, any stick. She was 1/2 Ridgeback, 1/4 wolf and 1.4 Malemute, sweet and incredibly smart. Maybe Lobo has already met Baylor.

    Malloy,

Thank you so much for your lovely words and incredible pictures. I read your story over the past 2 days and I'm dreaming of the day I can take my pup Holly on some adventures.

I would like to send my condolences to you. I know losing a furry friend is tough, but just know Baylor is always by you side.

This is my girl Holly.. and because of you, she will be going on some adventures very soon!
