Orange, NJ to Front Royal via I-78 & 81 is a bit over five hours. (300miles)Front Royal to Cherokee is another 574 miles. I like to ride NJ to Waynesboro the first day, 405 miles. Skyline Dr and the BRP is much slower. All the gas stations that had been on the BRP have been taken out. Getting gas on a Sunday could be tricky unless your near a big city. Just about all of the food areas will be closed until May. Peaks of Otter should be open.

Deal's gap is another 60 miles past Cherokee. You can get there in three days it's about 960 miles. The south end of the BRP is 5-6,000 feet and can be real cold with a bit of rain. Plan on some rain. This time of year an electric vest could save your life.
