I took one of those (a version of it anyway) round Australia with me and danged if I know where it is now. Of course that was about 30 years ago and about 8500 miles away so I have forgiven myself for forgetting.

is the one I bought to carry on trips. I suspect it’s midway between your portable version and the PBR. Last couple of trips I left it behind, figuring it was too heavy.
The most useless tool in the world is the one you leave behind.
I carry a small file to “grind” the mushroom head down but can’t say I’ve tried it. It wouldn’t be quick. Maybe need a battery Dremel too? Where does it end?

    Orangecicle v3.0?

Could be, at least for a time. This wayward 640A has grown tired of its current owner.

It’s just laying down and asking for a 2019 counterbalanced heart-transplant. Or a transfer to Sherwin-Williams to live out its life blending paint colors.
Not building a 690 Adventure is KTMs biggest mistake since LWR, but as my bank account knows only too well, it sure does help the aftermarket!

Yeah, from what I hear the counterbalance needed to make this thing run smoothly would probably look something like the counterweight on a stripper well.

But, I feel reasonably confident that we could shoehorn your 2019 motor into this frame. Hmmmmmmm. What is your address again . . . and when will you be away from home for a couple of days? :lol3

So is this/will this be yours? Always thought they were the coolest looking beasts.

I know, right? Today's word of wisdom is that if you are looking for a GIF of a stripper well, make sure you put "stripper well" in quotes.

Longish story. @ZLTFUL sold his Multi and bought a different kind of beast.

Now, Ryan started me planning to do the T.W.A.T. ride in Wisconsin this year, which we locked in starting 9/20/19. Then, he sells his Multi. If one were so inclined to ride the TWAT, I don't think one would ride the TWAT on a Panigale. Of course, I guess anythings possible with some TCK80s, am I right?

So I started looking for a cheap dual sport he could pick up. That lead to a friend mentioning that he wanted to sell his 640 Adventure, which lead me into buying it to give Ryan something to ride in Wisconsin, assuming I can get it running. @ZLTFUL can have first dibs on buying it come next riding season after he gets over the highly contagious Italian disease he picked up -- dafunzalow.

I'm still working through the logic of all of this with my wife. She's . . . skeptical.

I get this look a lot when I ride with people (@TrailGoat). It's somewhere between "¿Que?" and "W.T.F. is wrong with you?"

I had to laugh at that picture, a lot; between the lens distortion, me trying to hear a conversation through 2 helmets and both bikes just itching to not be standing still...made my day, in addition to the company and the riding, of course.

    Hardwood anyone???

Orangecicle had the stamina to pare down a few of those; it was far from easy, but it made all the difference in getting that fire going...thanks again!!!

The ultimate plan is the 640 ends up here and resides here for a long time to come. The TE310R was too small to be an effective trail camper while the Multistrada is much more road friendly and harder to pick up solo if needed.
The 640 provides a nice compromise while the Panigale allows me to get my Italian insanity fix from time to time.
