I've been debating gearing but not wanting to spend money. Then this weekend I went to go change tires and found the stock KTM rear gear (45 tooth) a bit worn. I decided to go up three teeth to 48 . . . and then the chain wouldn't fit. That was NOT a cheap visit to the motorcycle shop. So now I'll be running a 48 tooth on the 690. She gets a little buzzy around 70 mph particularly with the new tires, so may be pulling up the rear of our group. If anyone wants to blast down south from Golden at higher speeds, we might want to split up into fast and slow for that leg of the journey.
