We were so focused on getting to the beach. We never zoomed out to see which beach we were getting to.
Having now ridden that stretch of beach, I don't think I'd do it again.

That's cool. We met one of your partners neighbors, she came outside to welcome us to Playa Mexico personally. I don't think she likes motorcycles.:lol3

Thank you, I was wondering who that was that watched the video.

Hey Lennys, Jeep Trail(Mine Road) is something you go up once on a big bike, I think we were lucky to get through that one last year without injury.
    Window Rock coming up.:D

    Hi Scott,
Glad you made it. You know 7 pages in is considered fashionably late.:lol3

    Hi dano619,
That was actually Lica's voice, but it sounded the same in my helmet. Lots of fun.

    Hey Lica,
Looks like winter finally made it to Canada, Enjoy.

    Hi Bartek,
You were great on this ride, looks like you are in control of your appetite, instead of your appetite being in control of you.:lol3

    Wakey wakey eggs and bacy.

We all slept like the dead.

After a nice breakfast of sucking water through a hose, it was time to pack up.

During his morning inspection, Ceasar noticed he had lost a lower sub frame bolt.
We all looked through our baggies of extra bolts to try and find a replacement. Nada.
The only other bolt that size on the bike attaches the center stand, but it'’s way too long.

Luckily, we kept the section of chain that came off Bartek'’s bike the day before.
It made a perfect size spacer.

It looked pretty snazzy too. I could see a Harley guy paying money for that look.

The best thing about waking up in the Calamuje Wash is, you'’re in the freaking Calamuje Wash.

    hi redog! :wave

Mister Honey's taking care of other business right now, so I'll jump in real quick...

haha, Matt has been wanting to use that song FOREVER!
Every time we're working on a video he says, "Let's use 'War Pigs'!" "How about 'War Pigs'?"

I admit, it's an awesome song for big bikes in the dirt... :lol3
and this time it actually worked out great.
He thought there'd be some Sabbath fans in the crowd...:super
that was the Cake version, glad you liked it!

I also wanted to mention that I'm the one who picked the thumbnail for the video...
Matt thought it made him look like an egomaniac. :shog
    But, it was me.
I normally do that stuff anyway. Thumbnails, tags, etc.

No disrespect to the other Osos, they all looked good out there,
but I wanted to put Matt's shot front and center, he's doing so much work on this report. :crash

    For nevermind:
Here's a close up of the note:

Matt usually forgets about the camera 'cause he's too busy riding.
Then, once he's home, he gets frustrated by footage rendered unusable by dust, mud, water, etc.

He didn't want to take a chance this time. He says it helped!
(same with "smoother is faster" :evil)

The "smoother is faster" helped me throughout the ride...anytime I was working the bike to much I was reminding myself of Matt's dashboard sticker:deal It worked all the time

    :lol3

    but thanks for your enthusiasm!

    Hmmm...:hmmmmm
I saw the pics - everyone's tires were f**ked in the photos at the end. :deal

Yours did look the best, though...:thumb
    Osito es más suave.

    Lica!
I forgot to mention I like your friend! Osoooooooo! :clap

OK, I'd better put in some riding content or matt will be on my case later...

Here's a preview of the next section - your first map for Day 3.

Hey Wans. Just wanted to let you know I'm enjoying Matt's RR and the Oso's and Kelly's comments. And a big :thumb for the videos and the Cake song in the last one. Shazzam was even able to identify it over the moto sounds.

Those last couple of vids were fantastic!:clap I'm impressed with how fast you guys can ride those big bikes through the deep sand.:freaky Or is it more a matter of go fast (and smooth!), or else . . . .:eek1

Thanks for putting this all together for your many fans & "lurkers" back home.:D

My experience with the 990 is that speed is your friend in sand.

IF some inmate looked at my pics of the wash you would think you could ride a street bike through it.Nice pics of the sand depth and water .I went through Calamajue wash about 2 weeks before that on my way to Bay of La.But I cheesed out and got a room.
