I did not know that you Oso's were development testers! Makes sense....major product trial environment with maximum abuse exposure! I'm not fond of lights hanging off the bike(and they can get ripped off the bike in the event of a sudden nap) and I particularly like the shape of the KTM headlight. The Voodoo keeps that shape and has the lighting power and adjustable wind protection I'm looking for. My chain should last three times as long then.....I gotta step it up a bit! Scott
I have followed your reports for a while and really enjoyed them. Thanks so much for taking the time to put them together. I also appreciate and agree with your comment above. There were a few roads in this latest report that I would hesitate to take on my 9 year old KLR with my 60 year old body. However most appeared quite doable for me. The fact that I wouldn't be doing it with the speed and panache that you folks display is no reason to stay home.
I'm late but I made it. Great report. Too bad Kelly pre-broke herself before this trip and didnt make it. At least she is still here for the report. With as much jumping you guys did on the 990s, I think you should change the name to the Flying Osos!
Some nice food pics at the end. The crash video was a nice touch. Big congrats on the new baby Oso! Enjoy the little one!
This is the first I've signed in since page 3. Friggin grand RR!!!! Loved the dick video, Cristian is such a genuine guy, which made it even funnier. Glad I sold the 950SE prior to this, I can't imagine anything good coming from it... It was fun hangin with you guys. Hope to do it again.
Thank you both! I told Landon you both said hi. I even replayed some mameshiba videos for him to jog his memory. He is huge now (6yr old). Kid#2 is a girl. Her name is Mya. I will have to show you guys a picture. She is too cute. Thanks for taking me along another epic Wan adventure, its really nice to get an escape even if it's only in my mind.
I have not ridden an 990, but I have played on a trials bike a bit, I would not ride lots of that on the trials bike. I break to easy. again, amazing ride and report.
Another great Oso Ride Report! You guys have serious riding skills and these reports have been a big inspiration to get out and ride.
"dad when I grow up I want a 950 (990) just like yours." "son you can't do both" Fantastic RR. thanks for some great reading, I live in BC and have a big orange and blue bike, can't wait for Spring. Thanks so much
that explains why we missed osito. nice to see the new baby. congrats to the new addition and future Osos. wow, rough adventure and a long ride home...you guys certainly are superhumans. wait, i see in the video that the Osos crash as well...mortals we all... thanks matt, kel and crew. p.s. saw radek last night on the vid from "touratech's WABDR".
Thanks Joel. I did miss a great ride but I was waiting for my son to arrive . In a way I did go on the ride. Matt had his spot tracker on so I would log on everyday and see their movements. As I was in the hospital I could see Matt and Bartek go by on the spot tracker then I knew I was not going on the trip. Since I stayed home it gave me a chance to finish up Farmageddon 5.9. Thanks Matt for the great ride report.
Great report as always. Osito, by "Farmageddon 5.9" do you mean that there's a 5.9 Cummins in it now?
You did yourselves proud once again. Thanks for sharing this ride Matt. Some really awesome scenery and the mine was quite the bonus. I hope the OSO riders group never breaks up and continues to bring us these awesome RR's NICE JOB!!!!
Love your reports. I lurk, but I still follow your adventures. I'm glad I'm not the only one that swears like a trucker when I ride. Impressed you guys did the B Route in Kamloops on big bikes.
