I have to agree with Hanksmybuddy on the crowd issue, not really for me but looks like you guys had a blast. I also have to agree that for a lot of those riders, it had to be a humbling moment to get passed by you guys doing it two up.
    Nice job.:clap

Even when you don't plan on doing a ride report you do a great ride report. Thanks, Kelly.
Ps. It must be nice to have your own personal crash barrier. :lol3

[While we were there, we ran into the nice guys from Red Rock.

They had been so stoked to see the 9x0s on the course, doing the hard ways!
The Aussie said that they have the 1190 in Oz, and have been testing it offroad,
but it’s just not as good as the 9x0. :nah
    Sad to hear it.
I don’t know what we’re going to do when our bike dies...

I hope whoever is "holding" our next 990 for us is taking good care of it.
Keeping it shiny and clean in their garage...:evil

Hey, you ran into my friends Rich and Clubby! Rich is a fantastic guy that would give you the shirt off his back and a heck of a rider to boot, and Clubby can make you crack up around a campfire better than anyone I have ever met.
I led a ride for those guys a few years back in Southern California that was featured in for Trail Zone Magazine.

    Hey Kelly.

Nice Quickie RR for the LAB2V. Too bad you guys didn't get to go all the way through Red Rock. That is the most beautiful section of the trip. Looks like you guys had a blast though. I'm sure there were a lot of riders saying WTF as you passed them. Wish I could have made it this year. Hope to see you out there next year.

Wow you guys, another awesome ride, and watching you guys in the sand in video ::clap. And we know just how hard it is to ride two up in sand eh ! ! but we weren't going that quick.
And your not getting to old for it. You've got a few years yet to catch us up. :evil
I guess you're in the middle of winter now, summer for us. Ride season:D
    Cheers Phil

Have really enjoyed your RR. Thank you for all the hard work you spend on it.

(I did a 12,000 mile month long ride, and sent my RR back to family/friends along the way. It took hours each night to do it, and yours is so much better. I understand what you are gifting to us through your RR's.)

Jaw dropping BWan, you're one impressive rider. LWan, I don't know what to say, other than I couldn't do that. I've got a lot of catching up to do on your reports to discover what I otherwise wouldn't believe.:clap:eek1

Great RR. Had me on the edge of my seat when riding on the cliff side of the trail/road. The MUD, oh my. I hurt my back just looking at you guys lifting and pulling each other out. The best part is the smiles during such havoc. Looks like the best group of riders I've seen on Adv thus far.
    Cheers

I'm going to try to add some color commentary to riding with the wann's on the LA2BV ride. Better late than never as they say.
This is my first post so I will have to add the pics later.

District 37 has a designated area for single riders to meet and buddy up for the LAB2V ride. After about 10 minutes of hanging around feeling like the uncoordinated kid that gets picked last in gym class.
I decided to get proactive about finding a ridding buddy. When I told the "dirt bike with a license plate" riders I was riding a KTM 950 and was going to ride the hard route I was soon talking to myself. I got the same reaction from the shiny new GS 1200 guys.
When I spotted a KTM 990 with mangled crash guards and a patina that you can only get from many hard off road miles, but with brand new tires. I knew I found my riding buddy "buddies"
When I saw that Matt was riding two up I figured what the heck I had a blue tooth headset and I could put on a good playlist and just ride along enjoying the scenery.
I could not have been more wrong, I have been riding and racing since I was a kid and I was going to have to twist it just to keep up with the two wans.

This was going to be a fun 2 days.

Matt was setting a good pace while riding two up and navigating, all I had to was twist it and enjoy. This sand road section was great fun.

This is the start of another great section of high desert single track. I really enjoyed this type of riding, it was one of the reasons I made the trip from Canada. I even took the lead for a few miles on this section, I found reading the roll chart and riding hard very stressful, I blew by more than a couple of corners, could be I need a magnifying lens on my roll chart.
