    Why thank you, Lance!
I'm pretty sure I PM'd you back in Feb, but reading your comment this morning made me happy.
Thanks again for the kind words, I never feel like I'm funny, but you guys tell me otherwise! :D

    hi doc_ricketts,
    Thanks for reading!
Yeah, that Schofield video is pretty fun stuff. What a crazy night!
It sounds like you and your wife are a little smarter than us Wans...
or maybe you need a 990 to get you over the last hurdle? :evil

    hey advmoto66,
Thank you so much! it's always special to get praise from a local rider/someone who really knows that particular trail.
I envy you, having had so much time in that area - Colorado trails are amazing!
I'm pleased that we were able to bring back some great memories for you.
Next time we go to CO, I'll have to hit you up for some riding suggestions, it sounds like you know the good stuff!

    Hy pyrate!
Haha, yep - that one looks perfect! :lol3

Sion is going to think this is more "excuse-itis," :bluduh
but this is my only ride of late...

    I broke my monkey-fighting foot!
Dislocated my big toe in 2 directions and broke a metatarsal.

So, while the Osos are finishing up another amazing ride (one that I was supposed to be on :cry),
I am stuck at home, unable to walk or drive or do anything fun.

:waveHey little wan sorry to see you on the mend. But glad to see in the pic you still are smiling and saluting. Check out this link for some really detailed up to date info on the trails. a lot has changed since I've been on those trails. Closures and such. Plus the gentleman who you met in Gunnison the former pro enduro shop owner. He will have better intel on current conditions and suggestions since he knows what you guys are capable of riding on those KTM's.

These are the maps we used they are waterproof and won't tear made for Hikers, bikers, ATVers, climbers, backpackers, no matter who you are, if you need a good map of the trails where youÂ’re going.Very detailed with trail #'s Buy them from the guy in Gunnison and he can highlight the goodies for you before he sends them.

Cute photo Kelly, even with the "salute". :lol3 I'm sure you have wanted to flip off that injury more than once and I don't blame you.

Keep smiling that's the way we all like to see you. :clap

    How?
Get well soon (so you can get back to posting new rides:evil).
Funny little push-bike you've got there. Lessee, someone suggested knobbies and someone else mentioned motor. Farkle it out, Kelly.

:wave Thanks, everyone - the foot is getting better, but this stupid toe skewer is driving me crazy...

(Sorry, I tried to make that pic smaller, but it didn't seem to take. hope no one is eating. :puke1
Maybe it will be smaller tomorrow.)

I have another little rod under the second row of stitches, but it's not as annoying.

It was this guy. And some of his friends.

haha, of course we were doing something stupid - practicing our 2 up singletrack for riding in BC.
It was maybe a little narrow for 2 up (and dusty).

Matt's pegs cleared a big rock, but mine didn't. Then my foot got mashed between the bike and more rocks. :cry
    At least we didn't crash!
Matt didn't even know how badly I was hurt until I told him.

    Yes, I was ATGATT...
But there's only so much boots can do in that situation - the bike is heavy, matt is heavy, I'm heavy...

Maybe I need something like this Robocop armor:

    :dunno I hope so, too!
I think when it became clear I wasn't going to make the ride, Matt was sad for me, but also sad for himself.
("Crap, now who's going to do the ride report?")
    :lol3

I guess gimpy is the new black. :rofl

    Something like this?
    :evil

thanks for the map info, advmoto66 - I think I had someone else recommend those maps, earlier in the report.
haha, will check with Fritz, too.

    Thanks, wachs and Ladybug!

With the metal bits sticking out, you have a good start on the Robocop style armor. How about some nice red eyeballs, Terminator style, to go with?:lol3
    Bet that hurt. Take care.

littlewan, yikes sorry about the foot, looks like that really hurt. Hope you're not in too much pain :fitz, but glad you have the kneewalker 950 to get around

My asian mother-in-law always sends Red Ginseng (sun dried, 6+ years old, ...) to my wife and I when we get sick or hurt, old tradition...asian spin on windex from my big fat greek wedding. Will make you stronger!

    Could be worse!

    :rofl

    Thanks, Joel!

    Ha! I wish.
Klim wouldn't even honor Matt's warranty claim when his Dakar pants blew out. :cry
    we're not special. :nah

    Hi dvwalker,
Does the ginseng work? Also - windex? :scratch I guess I have some research to do!
I've been relying on good old Hydrocodone. :flug

I had to go 9 days with that dislocated toe, waiting for the swelling to go down so they could operate.
Don't know if ginseng or windex could have cut it!

You got the basket attachment though.

The girls here in the office are both jonzing for that accessory.

    :rofl

One had an ankle injury they did surgery on, the other was carrying her
laundry basket downstairs and took a header.:lol3

Don't feel bad... You've got serious cred. :freaky

Sorry to hear about your foot- I am also a member of the scooter club- however no exciting story for me- jumped down from a flatbed trailer- foot landed on the edge of a rut and ankle twisted and cracked the fibula- the scooter has been a life saver- sooooo much better than crutches. I am recently booted and starting to weight bear. Hope you heal up quickly- that pin looks miserable!!
