We are team of 8 people taking few days trip around Northeast section of Vietnam. We took a mixed of bikes Royal Enfields Classic 500 and Honda semi-scooter 125cc. When people think about riding here, they will get attractions of rocky valley up on northernmost province : Ha Giang! That what we were heading to!

    Map route :

To avoid the crazy traffic in Hanoi, we did the departure from 5km away the city center, on the dike.

Our ladies need sometimes to get used the bikes
    [IMG]

    And now we're ready
    [IMG]

First distance was in rain abit, the view of Red river backdrop
    [IMG]

The first break with all bikes lined up
    [IMG]

The last distance was fun, just took 500 m on mud to our homestay
    [IMG]

but time to cheer up, the nice friendly family invited us rice whisky and delicious home-cooked dishes
    [IMG]

And this how we sleep in homestay :D awesome

The next day was with great start
    [IMG]

    sunny ride
    [IMG]

you can see rice fields everywhere in the countryside, that is impressive green
    [IMG]

and this one is popular with man in Vietnam : the water pipe
    [IMG]

an unexpected stuff you may see on road (may you guess what on top of bus) :evil
    [IMG]

this what we see when we get closed to the moutainous area
    [IMG]

and our first water buffalo in the trip
    [IMG]

And from this, landscape turns 100% steep, high slopes with magnificent view
    [IMG]

a truck carrying rocks we saw on road, just be careful when you ride down road or in curves
    [IMG]

    lovely wooden bridge crossing river
    [IMG]

    and massive valley
    [IMG]

the medium elevation is about 1000 m, we were lucky with the weather, sunny sight
    [IMG]

some distances was interesting, you see what you would think somewhere in Europe, this part with many pine trees
    [IMG]

the moutainous area of Ha Giang is settled in a karst region (which was recognized as a World Geo-biological Park ). You may see many caves like this one along your day

we were really enjoyed the riding. It feels like you don't want to end this road so soon.

The total distance we made was about 1000 km. It is not long at all but there's something different here to ride. You can't ride fast and actually you do not want to.
