Is this going to be real-time-stabilization, steer-the-headlight-into-the-corner thing, or just an up-down rocker switch?

That's a big improvement from the '575 pounds with gas' curb weight. Hey LB, when you get down to the clutch spacer job, could you weigh the gearbox, swingarm, rear tire+wheel assembly? I've always wanted to know the total weight of the drivetrain.

Headlight adjustment will be manual with a knob that a gloved hand can turn.

I'll weigh what I can, I don't think I'll fully remove the gearbox, probably just slide it back on some rods. I've weighed the wheels before, F/R are the same on the 1150...65 pounds, the bigger rear wheel balances out with the extra rotor on the front wheel.

Do you know a part number for the driveshaft U-joints that people are using?

<BR>Of course. An adjustment knob is the obvious choice for a larryboy creation.

I sent you an email with a pile of u-joint information.

It would be easy to install the Supertrapp right there, but then I have to do heat shields.

    Gutted.

Installed, need to test sound level before welding the cap on.

    Ready for sound test.

I don't like any of the blinkers I have laying around here, might check at CycleGear later this week for a set of four.

Who balanced the rocks in the picture of Rob coming down the trail? Pretty cool work, so did Rob knock those rocks over as he passed? :deal

Ran the two day Sheetiron 300 dual sport with the 1150 a few weeks back. One of those rare times I've gotten to ride the thing unloaded and man, this thing is a great bike. I pounded on it as hard as I could and it didn't break. I made a video of some of my GoPro footage, notice the lack of me getting passed. :evil

The vid was too long for utube and Vimeo, figured out I could put it on my google+ that I've never used.

Nicest compliment at lunch on the second day, "Dude, we left the staging area at Cow Mtn right behind you and I couldn't even keep your dust in sight.", Steph~CRF250R with a plate. :lol3

Great time, great camp mates. Ran the event solo which I've never done before and it was pretty awesome not waiting for anybody or being waited on.

Well, on the way home on the last big trip ( http://advrider.com/index.php?threads/i-found-my-friends-today.1106073/ ), the low beam HID decided to quit working and I rode in the dark with only the high beam, sorry everybody. I'm tired of the fussy HID's, they're slow to react, flickery and the ballasts add all kinds of weight.

Enter LED's from ADVmonster, I bought these bulbs originally to go in my GoldWing, but couldn't come up with a way to make the dust seals work on that bike.

Bench test to see how hot they get against the dust seal, not very hot at all.

    Low beam.

Instant on hi beam, no HID startup delay.

I haven't ridden it at night because I just found a bad front rotor, :eek, it's a floating EBC 320mm and it's about to rip through the floating buttons. On order, $217 I didn't want to spend.
